From the most recent news report that I saw, it seems that now MasterCard, Visa and American Express have all agreed to bar use of their credit cards to place advertisements on the "adult" section of Backpage.

Wonder if they will accept Bitcoin.

I miss the Star-Bulletin and Honolulu Advertiser sports sections from the '90's. Nothing but wall-to-wall strip club ads (back when the strip clubs were worth going to). Wild Horse would have some ad about the porn star that was touring there, the Klassy Kat would put up an ad saying something like "24 Gorgeous Girls and 3 Ugly Ones!

Good times.

But yeah. If it bleeds, it leads and sex always sells. The media is big business and so long as they stoke fear, uncertainty and doubt, business is good.

Good point. Additionally, Hawaii News Now's "media partner" is the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. While reading the sports section of yesterday's Star-Advertiser (print version), I noticed paid advertisements for two places at which sexual activities definitely occur. So it seems that Hawaii News Now's media partner the Star-Advertiser has no moral reservations about promoting such businesses as long as there's money to be made by doing so, LOL.

Let's hope and pray that no men who were reading yesterday's Star-Advertiser sports section will become the victims of "sexual assault" at these businesses (smirk).

Finally, someone who gets it.

Don't dig and wonder why the fuck HNN went to Rose the other morning. The simple answer is this, they have meetings every day to figure out what stories to do and more importantly, how to fill the news case being its a really long segment in the morning. In one of those meetings someone came up with "hey let's to a followup story about the arrest several weeks ago and see if anyone is willing to share their point of view to this sting operation". Billy V couldn't do the story because he was out at Wet-and-Wild covering an event that same morning.

Money grabber, partnership, that's all guess work. Bottom line they needed something for the morning news and this story was the one they came up with in the meeting. No big deal guys.
