Actually thinkng about it, this may be the next phase that HPD is trying. Prostitution charges don't work because the girls don't ask for cash up front. Sexual assault charges were thrown out, and now they're trying to get the public to file complaints with the city for illegal practices. It'll be interesting to see how many lazy people actually take the bait and do something. After all, barely half the state votes in elections, something that puts people in charge of making decisions, and when they do, they elect someone to OHA, who was busted for embezzlement on the Kamehameha board of trustees, probably because they,"recognize her name".
Pathetic try.

If you're not nice, she might just give you one of them flying body slams. I really can't see any purpose for that report. Could they have been stoking the fire just before another HPD visit? It may be hard for newb to get into places again.

I think Kathryn Xian hates men, vibrators and lesbians are her choice.

Posts: 5125In my opinion, it's also funny that for guys who are new to Honolulu or have no mongering knowledge, Hawaii News Now is identifying some of the particular places to go to enjoy hanky-panky.

Posts: 1273You'd want a "massage" too if Kathryn Xian was your wife.

Fixed that for you.
What's interesting is the statement they read from the HPD about prostitution being difficult to investigate (I think they may have also said prosecute) but they're doing "everything they can".
That kind of of sounds like the sort of thing you'd tell your boss when you're given an impossible task but you have to blow sunshine up his / her ass. I'd imagine the years of the HPD playing cat-and-mouse with these establishments means that the mice have gotten pretty smart and for many criminal lawyers, the career track is the prosecutor's office then private practice, so the lawyers defending the the AMPs have gotten better at keeping their clients out of jail (and getting the charges dismissed to begin with).

Posts: 1273By charging those girls with "sexual assault", I think that's the rationale the HPD tried to advance.
"I've come in for a legitimate massage and this 100 pound Asian woman who speaks barely any English forced herself on me! Oh the horror! How would anyone know this would have happened!
Luckily, no one — not even the prosecutor's office — bought it.

Posts: 1273Moral outrage = more ratings = more advertisers = more profit.
The national crime average is at a low. However, broadcast news sensationalizes crime reporting because it drives eyeballs to their stations.
HNN is a business. Don't confuse "moral outrage" with a cash grab.

Posts: 208We should make complaints on the news reporting of Ramsey Wharton to her supervisors here and the parent company on the mainland so that she doesn't report news here anymore. Complaints can go both ways. Lets see how she feels when her livelihood is under scrutiny.

Posts: 5Ridiculous if you ask me
So they act as if these establishments are hurting people or like they some some sort of hazard that spring on people. Trust me, you don't accidentally walk into these places.

Posts: 711It really disgusts me how the news and le hide behind "consumer awareness" to pass moral judgement, and call it law. When HNN had their cameras on establishments that are harmless to the public, they should have been focusing their attention to all of the people that stagger out of the bars and start their cars to drive home under the influence, but that story is only salatious enough to make the news when it ends up in a heap of twisted metal with fatalities on the roads.

Kison has a legit license so it should be safe there. (AS IFFFF) I wish they'd leave them alone.
I don't care about Chanel's business practices. All I care about is the services I receive. A great massage.

I heard her mention a blog site that talks about what happens in these types of establishments, anyone else hear that?
