Yesterday afternoon, I paid another visit to Care Therapy after a gym workout. The manager, Kim, told me that a new therapist had arrived earlier in the week and that she was the only one available. I had gone with the intention of having Kim give the massage, but she was preoccupied; so, I agreed to the new person. Kim then gave me a towel and got the shower ready. As I mentioned in my previous post, the shower here is a brand-new DIY enclosed stall. The showerhead is in the ceiling of the enclosure, and it dispenses a good spray / stream of water at an adjustable temperature. (No freezing showers here.) After I exited, Kim took me back to the room and Mya entered shortly thereafter.

Although she stands about 5'-0", or maybe even a couple inches less, and probably weighs no more than 90 pounds, this small lady can apply more than ample pressure to work the muscle groups quite well. I didn't ask for any back-walking, but she would be perfect for that. She also gave a very satisfying foot massage during the session, something that not all therapists seem to know how or take care to do well. As on previous visits, I received the full hour's time and she gave a massage that was above and beyond expectations. The only "complaint" I had was that she seemed to expect a higher tip than what's normal around NoVa, but I chalk that up to her just arriving from NYC where AMP fees and tips are a bit higher. We were able to reach an equitable middle ground without any unpleasantness. After all, she did good work and gave me a better-than-usual massage during the hour, so I've no real problem with paying a little more, at least this time. However, on my next visit, I'm going to hold out for Kim. I told Kim that before I left, so that may be sufficient to make Kim wonder why and perhaps discuss expectations for this area with Mya. Besides, as good as Mya was, I just liked Kim's technique a bit more.

Unfortunately, like Desert Pete used to say, "You've got to give before you get. " By your handle (LurkerNoMore), it would seem that you now want to actively participate in the forum. Well and fine, as that stands. However, like JmSuttr said, below, you've got to build up some "board cred" before folks are willing to take your requests for info seriously. The best way to gain credibility is to provide what's known as "actionable intel", info that other board members can use. But, in order to provide such "actionable intel", you'll need to spend some of your own hard-earned money and limited spare time. Just like every other credible member has done. On a recent Sunday afternoon I frequented a popular new spa in Springfield. Scarlett was seeing someone else so I drew "Jackie": long tight legs, a bit softer up top, pleasant smile, I'd say in her late 30's. Although the ample parking lot was pretty emptied when I showed up several door bell rings and phone calls followed so after; so I was Lucky to walk right in.

Soft touch was pleasant and not rushed. On the flip she required direction to find the right spot (a common security precaution). Jackie provided a competent finish but no extras. English is not her strong suit but she knew what I was asking for and declined firmly a couple times. Table shower was thorough and a nice way to end. My session lasted a bit more than the full hour and I paid a bit more than the usual (0. 8+0. 6) since I expect to go back.

I really needed a thorough massage and that's what I got. If I were in it mostly for the excitement I probably wouldn't roll the dice at any NoVa MP. Better to spend more with a K-girl agency and get what I came for.

There are a few FBSM providers who post in either the BP or CL therapeutic sections and you can usually tell by their ads and their prices if they might be open to extras.

Saw this ad and gave a call, which was answered by Sophie who speaks good English and is apparently the boss. Made an appt with Amy and was directed to a nice apt complex in McLean.

Quick summary is that Amy is a cute 20's Chinese girl, despite the fake pic, who gives an OK massage and, while she said she was willing to do FBSM, her tip request was way out of line for this area. What she finally suggested was that I finish myself off and pay her. 6 for that privilege. Really, WTF?

Anyway, I gave her a quick rundown of prices in this area and explained politely that both the massage price and the requested tip were too high. She then proceeded to bad mouth other spas and lectured me about how rich guys are happy to pay her prices. Maybe that's an Asian shaming thing to try to get me to pay more? I don't know, but I refused all of it and tipped her. 2 for the massage.

After I left I called Sophie and told her the same info. She was more apologetic but then claimed that Amy shouldn't have offered any extras at all. I understand not wanting to discuss those topics on the phone so I didn't push it. But I did repeat that even the massage price of $/ hr was too high as there are plenty of legit places where a massage costs 40-60 per hour.

Bottom line is that FBSM was on the table (pun intended!) but price expectations were unreasonable. Lot's better out there for the $ and for less hassle.

I saw her a few years ago and the dream was good, though I recall it was a little rushed.

Appears to have enhanced top now. Told me at the time she was a dancer, and I mentioned one DC club, and she said could't work there because they don't approve of the tats.

Not sure if that BP ad is really her's or if someone stole her pictures. Her Facebook page says she's a dancer at Good Guys so it could be her.
