Changing the subject, check out the Star Advertiser's online site for the Street Pulse Hottie of the Week. Someone very familiar!

Posts: 1039That's why you see animal rights activists will throw paint at women who wear fur coats. But, these activists won't throw paint at pimps who wear fur coats.

Speaking about slime-bag vice cops, I remember while in high school on the neighbor island the vice cops came to school to give a demonstration of the "hazards" of drug abuse. One cop in particular was known as a drug pusher and addict, so they lighted up a joint and passed around 3 joints to show how it smelt and look like. When one of those joints came to us, my friend slipped a few and passed it back. You should see the look on the cop's face when instead of 3, they got back 6 joints! Was funny as hell when that addict kept a straight face.

Posts: 1273Corruption starts and the top and spreads to the bottom. It has to have the approval of the people in charge for it to take root.
While I was reading about the AMP crackdowns, I came across this column in the old Star-Bulletin about deceased underworld figure Ronnie Ching: http://archives.starbulletin.com/200...memminger.html.
I found this to be particularly interesting: "Don and his handpicked team of 'untouchables' strode through Chinatown like they owned the place. They busted down doors of illegal card games and took on all comers, including the 'yakuza,' Japanese organized crime groups that were setting up shop in Hawaii. ".
From Charles Marsland's obit, the first elected Honolulu prosecutor who started that crackdown on organized crime that was mentioned above: "'Crime rates were dealt a blow that it never recovered from,' Carlisle said, crediting Marsland for putting a big dent in crime. " http://archives.starbulletin.com/200...s/story02.html.
I don't know if any of that was true, as I don't know many people who are involved in hardcore criminal activities. But what I do suspect is that in the absence of organized crime, the police usually wind up filling that void. See: the LAPD after they ran the mafia out of LA. It would be even easier in someplace like Hawaii.

To serve and protect us from whom? INTEGRITY, RESPECT and FAIRNESS is HPD's mission statement. INTEGRITY, COMPASSION, FAIRNESS and SERVICE is MPD's mission statement. Maybe someone needs to remind our officers what those words mean.

One of the best reader comments to the news reports on this recent HPD sting operation was: "There's nothing more slimy than a vice cop".
Here's another slimy type of police sting operation that has a more direct and harmful impact upon mongers. Earlier this year, another "HPD," the Houston Police Department, set up a "modeling studio" in Houston. The police then advertised it on an "adult internet website," including a phone number for customers to call. When customers arrived, they were presented with available women (probably undercover female officers) and agreed to a price and sexual contact. Ultimately, a total of sixty-four men were arrested for involvement with prostitution, which in Houston is punishable by up to one year of incarceration and up to a $2,000 fine. As if that wasn't bad enough, then the police held a news conference at which the names and mugshot photos of all the arrested men were presented to the news media.

Posts: 1273Of course. The police in the state have more important things to do than having women in AMPs sexually assault them.
They have women to grope during traffic stops: http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/2...g-traffic-stop.
People to run over and not stop to render aid: http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/2...in-hit-and-run.

Yeah, Kaneshiro is a rubber stamp useless government worker that us taxpayers will probably end up paying for all this when the courts start throwing out these cases. He should be fired along with HPD cops involved.

Posts: 407Seems like the recent events are like a dog and pony show. People complain Hpd has to act like they're doing something about it. Devises this Mickey mouse scheme to get the people off their back. Look were doing something about it. They can say.

Next time you visit one of these AMPs add a little extra to the HF. Tell her it's to help with legal expenses.

I predict all these charges will go no where because of footage like this. I have never started to take my clothes off in the hall and it just goes to show there was no sexual assault. Who starts to take their clothes off in the hallways like that unless something is fishy or you are a well known customer? I wonder how that cop likes being on TV? Pretty identifiable tatoo. Good job to Orchid fighting back. I also just saw another cop story who MIGHT be fired in a month for grabbing a 17 year olds tit on a traffic stop LOL. What a joke.

Posts: 203Because pimps are violent and carry guns. And pimps use violence and fear against women. Why would hpd want anything to do with that? It's easier to bully women. Ask the pimps it's what they do.

Posts: 315Defense Attorney Questions HPD Tactics
Anyone catch this story on HNN?
"Prostitution" arrest tactic in question: http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/2...ic-in-question.
Does anyone know who these girls are? I'd contribute to their defense. Maybe one of the mamas can start a fund.
I want to see HPD eat shit on these bogus charges. The girls refuse to name a price, so the UC cop initiates contact and says she's guilty of sex assault. That's coercion. Such horse shit and abuse of power. If HPD was so concerned about human trafficking why do they go after the providers? Shouldn't they go after the sex recruiters, the pimps, or the places that employ the trafficked girls? Why would girls forced into prostitution trust HPD when they will get arrested or deported?
I'm having a change of mind on this. Instead of being afraid of these pigs and laying low, we should do what Cosmic Kid said, "fight-the-power!
