If you take positions #4 and #6 as your strike out guys (basically midway thru the lineup) and just give a count to how many batters get on base (whether thru walks, balks, errors, getting hit whatever) then with an average of each guy doing 5 or 6 at bats, the team would place 21 guys on base while the 2 each had 5 strike outs. But way too many possibilities. Even your scenario with positions #1 and #2 places 12 on base. 4 hits, 5 walks, 3 errors. Now, if only going to KBs was as easy.
