    Speaking of anti-prostitution measures

Sportscaster Greg Anthony busted in a prostitution sting.

You backpage and escort guys should be careful. Verify then call. Never talk about $ until after, never before. Might be very embarrassing if you get caught.

It's simple, stick with trusted providers and be wary of those who aren't verified.

    Busy-bodies at it again

    http://www.civilbeat.com/2015/01/sex...-this-session/

Highlights include bills aimed at 'johns' and targeting places that 'promote prostitution' such as massage parlors.

    As George Carlin said:

"I don't understand why prostitution is illegal. Selling is legal. Fucking is legal. Why isn't selling fucking legal? You know, why should it be illegal to sell something that's perfectly legal to give away? I can't follow the logic on that one at all! Of all the things you can do, giving someone an orgasm is hardly the worst thing in the world. In the army they give you a medal for spraying napalm on people! In civilian life you go to jail for giving someone an orgasm! Maybe I'm not supposed to understand it. ".

We mongers support all of them.

I'd hope that the providers get more than the pimps and the dirty cops, but that's probably not realistic. The providers are in the end just assets or commodities.

The only crime is getting caught. And even then, if you have a good lawyer, that probably won't even stick.

If they're all dirty of something, all it would take is an anonymous tip to the Feds to the get the ball rolling against one person. In the end who knows why it was this one person?

The police can say this is just an isolated incident, the Feds can say they're doing their job and everyone walks away looking like they're doing their part against corruption.

It's like politicians. They've all done something that's illegal or a breach of their ethics rules in the course of fundraising, it's just they've all done it so they all keep quiet. It's just when someone gets out of line, that's when they suddenly find out about a grand jury investigation launched against them.

However, that additional charge was dropped pursuant to a plea bargain.

    Extorsion?

    1) There's no corruption in the HPD. (I don't believe this one at all. If you have an organization that polices itself, there's bound to be an "acceptable" level of corruption.).

    2) The protection amount was deemed to be too much, and his superiors had to reign him in. (Again, there's an "acceptable" amount of corruption.).

    3) The cop wasn't kicking back to his fellow officers. (Everyone needs to get a taste. Besides, if you don't take that cash, how do I know if I can trust you or not?)

    4) Someone else in the HPD or someone outside of the HPD provides protection for the bars in question.

Maybe there's no overt racial tensions but on the few cases I've been pulled over by the HPD (once around Pearl City, the other when I was leaving the old Paradise Island strip club), I've usually gotten away with a verbal warning, mostly because I looked like the Japanese kid going to UH (which was the case). I think if I were some moke, the situation might be different.

The other option is that the bar owners, MS ingratiate themselves with police in other ways. Wasn't Yuni (the woman who owns Femme Nu) dating a cop for a long time?

Not to mention what mainland police will get away with simple based on you being local "looking and sounding".

I'm not saying the system is broken and corrupt, but I am saying that it favors hawaiian / poly / asian / mix locals rather than discriminating against them as it would happen on the main land.

The extortion is horrible, but it also ensures that KBs, AMPs, and other venues for mongerd exist.

    Just another perspective.

Every notice that when the Federal agents get involved, the conviction rate of HPD and dirty cops goes up, but when the State takes over, its usually gets dismissed for "technical" reasons.

The legal system in Hawaii is too corrupt, too many family members connected.

    Grace lee

Anyone notice grace lee not wearing her wedding ring anymore? Before she left Hawaii News Now to go to the mainland she had a ring on but not anymore. Saw her recently at an event she def looks a little older in person. Not saying I wouldn't but yunji got my vote.
