I'm not sure what you mean by "feathered" a little, it's not a photographic term that I am familiar with. You may mean smoothing out her complection. It was probably the makeup though. I ask the ladies to look their best when I photograph them and they usually do. Nicole and Star took about 15 minutes to get ready while I set up my camera and did some test shots. Star did her hair up nice, put on eye shadow, some makeup and lipstick. She looked very nice. After some 55 years of taking photographs, I know how to set up my lighting to be very flattering and how to get the best poses. I actually did very little else to the shots as I liked the way that the two ladies looked. It was much less than my usually familiar "soft focus" technique that I am known for. When you saw her, she probably hadn't touched her hair in a week, had no makeup on and was either hung over or strung out, or both. She probably looked pretty bad. If you see her again, hopefully she will look like she did when I saw her.

Nicole is no giant, its just that April is very tiny. I would guess that Nicole is about 5'6" or so and comes in at about 120-125 lbs. In heels, Nicole is around 5'9" . She wouldnt qualify as a spinner, but is still perfectly proportioned. April is about 4'10" at the most and maybe 90 lbs soaking wet. Thats why there is such a contrast when they are standing together. I am 5'9" and was looking straight down on April when she was standing next to me. That's just not the April I seen, it is exactly the one I wanted to though. It's cool if the pics are feathered a little, I don't remember Her completion being so smooth looking.
