For those of you who are too young to understand the concept of cruising as it is used by those who are not engaged in our hobby watch the movie American Graffiti. That is what the city ordinance is addressing. I believe they have other ordinances or LE procedures to deal with us.

In my day, it was Hwy 100 in Stallis that was the one they cracked down on.

I looked at the actual language of the ordinance and neither Lincoln, Greenfield nor National are designated as "no cruising zones". Interestingly, to establish a temporary no cruising zone, the Chief of Police must first go to the Common Council for approval and lay out the basis for the temporary no cruising zone. If granted, signs must be posted.

Permanent no-cruising zones are established by city ordinance. Cruising is defined as driving past a point traveling in the same direction, more than twice in any 2-hour period between the hours of 8 pm And 5 am (Code 101-20.5). The Police department can establish temporary no-cruising zones wherever and whenever cruising is likely to become a problem.

I do not know which areas are considered "no cruising" zones but I can imagine that G and and are on the list. I was told there are cameras on Greenfield but I cannot personally confirm.

Capitol Dr. From 27 to some other street on the north side has a no-cruising zones.

Good question and here's my thoughts. Be as least obvious as possible that you're trying to pick her up. I usually will go a block or two past her before I head back to her location. But then I will head up the side street and try to catch her while she standing on the corner. Then I will ask her to walk a bit off the main street and pick her up on a less busy street. Whatever you do don't keep passing the same spot in a short period of time as you could get a ticket for prostitution related loitering.

I usually won't go past the same spot more than 2 x. It just seems that every time I try to double back, by the time I get back to the girl, I can't find her anymore. And I'm picky, so most nights I am not even seeing anything worth even heading back at.

Even worse in my mind would be getting caught in the act by LEO. There could be some plausible deny-ability to a prostitution related loitering ticket (maybe not to the judge, but at least to the wife or whoever else found out). But getting caught mid-stroke could be quite compromising to say the least. I'm sure they go into great detail on an arrest report like that.

So what I am wondering is do most of the girls know of locations that are relatively safe? I'm sure they don't want to get busted either. OR do most of you experienced cruisers find your own safe locations for car dates? I think I remember reading somewhere that it isn't real safe to go back to a SW's house or wherever she is staying.

A couple weeks ago, quite by accident, I wound up with a very cute girl in my car. She needed a ride to the bus station but was willing to "see me" first. Problem is that I was quite nervous & really had no idea where to go to do the deed. So I chickened out & dropped her at the bus station. (kicking myself now for being such a pussy.) I don't really have a large enough hobby budget to afford a notel plus pay the girl. If I did I guess I would be shopping for well reviewed girls from BP.

Instead I do have an UTR granny that I see a couple times a month for a lame massage w / HE. Usually has me in & out of there in 15 minutes & she isn't much to look at, (yuk) but it is safe, nearby and within my budget. I also enjoy cruising the south loop a couple times a month if it's on my way. Just to see what I'm missing out on.

Guess I should go do some recon in the vacinity to see if I can find a place that I would feel safe.

Check out the area before the pickup! If someone makes the pickup before you then so be ot! Cops, pimps, boyfriends could be lurking around the corner! If she wants the money (and they do), driving around the block a couple of timed won't stop her! ALWAYS BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY!
