Since the downturn in property values, police forces have become more about creating revenue streams than policing actual crime. In cities where there is some vice, they look to make money off it. Strip club raids in Detroit are mostly to enforce dance card rules. If they happen to get someone in the VIP it's a bonus. In other cities, like Hazel Park, Livonia, Redford, Warren, etc. , the focus is on traffic tickets.

Went to Club Venus on Saturday afternoon after an uneventful couple of strolls. And also because of one of our guys comment about it being a brothel with a stripper pole that still had me laughing. I walked in and it really is a dive but didn't feel like trouble. I ordered a beer and they brought me a 16 oz bottle instead of the normal 12 ouncer. That was nice for 6. 75. Gory Details: I arrived about 9:45 PM and, after a quick look around, noticed several new faces but saw few of the regulars I've come to expect. Familiar faces were Christina, Adriana and Carmen. MIA were Dana, Serena, Chloe and Sarah. Shortly after getting my table, one of the familiar faces came and sat with me. She told that there were lots of new, young girls there and that several of the prior regulars had been fired. So that explains it. She and I sat and talked for a bit and then she excused herself and never came back. [I did get a PM from another monger to the effect that Chloe was leaving last weekend to return to her home town. So she may of left of her own accord. The others I don't know any more details.]
