Many times they explained that if you would just spend a little time reading the fabulous forum that you might find the answers you are looking for. Else the newbie may remain ignorant and pesky by repeating how about this one over and over. You know your right about guys being able to go back and read and possibly find the answer they need. But when I was a newbie to this sight I got jumped on too for asking questions, I was told to share advice to get advice. At the time I knew I could contribute, I had been in the hobby some 25 years before discovering this site. So as a former noob I felt insulted given the experience I had and after I gained the trust of a couple well known seniors here I seemed to get a bit of respect. But even still I'd never tell a noob to rtff if I could answer their question I did via pm. From the time I joined this site I felt it was a little boys club ruled by just a few. I had hoped it was more of a review site than it actually is. However it has saved me the trouble of bothering with some dreams and for that I'm gratefull. And I'm very greatful for the positive stuff I've read and leads given by a few seniors early on. Shit I even came out of SW retirement just to hit a pretty little thing called fatima when it was in its prime. And although she could be found very easily on her corner I was given her number which made it safer to meet her and more of a sure thing by one of those members that in the beginning gave me a hard time. But after a short spell and my thick skin I got through the hazing period and can call a few friend.

I have no idea what has occured the last few months here and I have rtfff almost everyday but I do notice that most of the members of that little boys club have seemed to disapear. Oh and I got a pm also about the new site. I don't get it A2 pm me and fill me in on what went down here.

Guys, I got the message. I don't get to go very often and I don't get time to read the forum very often.

When I accidentally discovered this site, and read the posts I was shocked this scene exists in the US. I think I read 20 pages of the forum before my first trip where I had an excellent time thanks to the information I learned here.

I have always kept a detailed record of my adventures as it helps me enjoy them both writing about them and reading them later on. I had never posted on a forum like this before, but since I got so much value reading other posts, I thought I was giving back to the community.

I have recently returned from 4 night trip to Detroit, and I have read my trip report and it reads much like my prior reports, since I seem to like the same things over and over again.

I didn't realize I was mucking up the community and will alter my posts to conform to the standards.

In the message to which I was responding, you quoted the content of a member's PM. So, it's obviously not true that you "have no access to the content of the PMs," at least in some cases, if not all. Since you only "now" have the search tool set up to scan for the URL of some new alternative website, you clearly didn't discover it by means of this search tool. So, you either snooped directly into the PMs of one of these missing seniors, or else some fink(s) passed the content of their PM on to you.

VBulletin stores "private messages" unencrypted in the backend database.

When the tool finishes running, it will tell me who has sent a PM with that particular phrase (we also run "going to kill you" from time to time). When I find that one person, who has never posted, has sent that particular phrase to a multitude of other users I ban the user name.

Go, go to this new forum, I checked today, (if it's the same one) they had 3 new posts in the three weeks since I looked last, 98% of the content is admin generated. Maybe it's a different site.
