Not yet! Unfortunately brothers sperm donors are never off the hook if it can be documented that you are a baby daddy by genetic studies. Only until you see her 1st period will you know that she is "no longer " pregnant and that you are safe for the moment. BTW, it will take 6 weeks for her to have her 1st period after the abortion. And if the medical route fails she will still need to go through a surgical abortion at an equal cost.

As to Pharma risk, there is none since they have a published failure rate in their literature. Nothing is guaranteed.

As to damages from her for misleading you? Good luck with that.

If she is scamming you then you might never know. Paperwork from the clinic with her name on it is pretty good documentation that she actually went and got the service, but is no guarantee of success.

Well you've brought up a fair point, and one I thought about after posting even before reading your response. It's not accurate to say he's off the hook even if he is in a much better place. At the end of the day, if a kid is produced, the court is (in theory at least) going to do whatever it deems best regarding care of the child and that will take priority over a dispute between daddy and mommy. However, the degree to which they perceive either daddy or mommy as a victim will play some role in the overall outcome, and the bottom line is that if she said she took the pill but never did and could not prove she did, he has been victimized, and if push came to shove this would help his case to some degree.

My sense is that overall he's in pretty good shape at this point, but as I said it's just a guess without knowing what type of person she is. He has taken adequate precautions to prevent (and in this case terminate) the pregnancy, so from a common sense standpoint any child that's born from this situation is purely a product of the female's decision making process rather than any carelessness on his part. How our legal system ever got to the point where the decision to have the child and thus the decision to extract financial resources from the other participant (who has no real say in the matter) can rest solely in the hands of the female (who is almost always the one in a lesser financial position and thus less capable of supporting the child) is a rather disturbing and pathetic statement about the US legal system, but it's the way it is.

I do still believe that just going dark/not answering calls or texts is not a strategy I'd recommend, because it removes the opportunity to defuse the situation and sprinkles a little "perpetrator dust" on the matter in favor of the female and to the detriment of the male, and of course does nothing to prevent any actual legal process from proceeding. It would be a good possible course of action if we could be sure she was lying, but since that cannot be guaranteed.....

So HL, how did you calm your SO's fears and get back to Sugaring? This is the nightmare that all SDs deal with who are married eventually have to deal with.

I was busted with irrefutable proof. I had to own up to my actions. We've had very frank conversations about the lack of sex in our relationship over the past couple of years. In her defense, it's not for lack of desire on her part. She has developed some medical and physical issues, some of which may never go away, that limits us to once every 2 to 3 weeks or so over the past year. She feels bad for not taking care of me. I've been very frank that constant masturbation doesn't get the job done. If our sex life hadn't dwindled I would have never sought out escorts, which is what led me here.

Basically, it involved a lot of talking, gut wrenching emotionally charged talking. Where at the end, I had to promise not to do it anymore and she would do her best to get our sex life going again. Obviously, that didn't happen, because here I am. I thought we were past it until just last week, she was making accusations when, ironically, I wasn't doing anything at all.

If the status quo continues, I should be fine. One of my biggest fears is posting here actually. It's proof of my actions. She has some extraordinarily tech savvy people at her disposal. I'm still unsure as to just how anonymous this is if the right people start to dig. With a phone call from her, I could be in hot water. I have some control over that by keeping the peace and her suspicions to a minimum. What's worse is that her psychotic ex has the same people at his disposal and he may try to strike out over some upcoming issues. I don't know if we would survive another bust.
