I stand corrected. I can't argue with your proof. I am just amazed that any police department would focus on CL-CE when their are so many ads on BP-Escorts.

It seems the equivalent of focusing on the guys distributing Sunday NFL football cards, while ignoring the professional bookies in the neighborhood.

I guess I never noticed the ads for minor girls on CL-Ce, and I'm not interested in the drug scene, so I have been lucky in not running into the LE.

These are just a few local ones. There are many more out there including some youtube news reports on LEO posting ads. There were more on the south shore a month or two ago which I can't find quickly, but you get the idea.

Edit: This is the one I was trying to find. This article doesn't say it was CLCE, but another article on the same sting specified it was cops posting ads with code words for certain drugs in the ads.

There was a drug-related bust in rockland a while back where LE used the phone # / and the actual phone after arresting the prostitute on backpage and set up shop at a hotel and waited for johns to inquire. That was the first time I heard of that tactic being used to ensnare your average john. If there's no intel on the board, wait until some springs up before inquiring. Also some times LE will respond to your ad, and not wait for you to respond to their's. So be careful how you word it when seeking tail, and obviously don't include any drug lingo, as they are looking for probable cause et cetera. But some guys are really gullible and think it's really the type of girl that they are looking for. 95% of CL is spam, and probably 1 % is undercover LE trying in some way to catch a john. So long story short wait for intel on this Russian CL post, and if none pops up, use your monger phone. Also if you can't take the punishment, it read like 1,000.00 in cash et cetera don't go forward with this. If a CL ad is TGTBT, you have to think uncle LE is trying to ensnare you, so word your emails wisely.

Yes, certain specific police forces, such as Burlington & Woburn, have reverse stings by posting ads on BP-Escorts or perhaps other locations, but you posted that you knew that a certain ad on CL-CE was LE. It simply was not true.

I find it interestnig that you agree that ads can be potentially posted to BP but not CL CE. I guess there is an exemption?

You really should invest a little time reading some of the news articles on the various stings and busts LEO has conducted. The one common thing they mention in their news releases is the advertsiement on specific online sites in which BP and CL have been mentioned.

A case in Burlington they actually reported using an officer to take calls from clients to book sessions and as they arrived were arrested.

What did they report? Posting an ad on the internet? OMG tell me they can't use my tax dollar that way! They do.

Read my friend and believe what you desire and think it isn't so. Cities and towns do have access to state resources, Homeland Security, FBI, DEA, ATF and various other task force agencies to do the job.

While the primary focus might be on drug related activity don't be fooled that they don't have the capability and ability to gather info on someone.

You really think they couldn't create their own ad to gather info? Or that LEO wouldn't lie to get the John's exposure? You really think that LEO can't use the powers of a court order to gain info from any online site or phone?

Proof? Contact any of the ones that were arrested if you know any and ask questions. You can learn.

The idea that LE can't lie is ridiculous, that would mean an undercover officer has to tell a drugdealer with a gun to his head "yes, I'm a cop". The rules are the same, regardless of the crime being investigated. I do just have to laugh when calling an ad and she asks if I'm affiliated with the law.

And as far as LE posting ads, that's just the modern version of an undercover decoy streetwalker.

I would always recommend to anyone to trust their instincts and intuitions.

However, I have to take you to task about LE on CL, particularly posting ads. I trust that you have never confirmed that you answered an ad posted by police, since that would indicate that you were arrested.

Please indicate why you think that LE is posting on CL-CE. To suggest that I am skeptical of your statement, is a very large understatement. I am interested in your "proof".

The Police departments don't have the time or inclination to bother with CL-CE when BP-Escorts is staring them in the face and street prostitution is ever present in some city areas.

I would agree that CL-CE is mostly scammers & time wasters, but LE / Police, that is totally far-fetched IMVHO. I have never, ever got a whiff of LE/Police in my experience on CL-CE.

There is no doubt that LEO posts ads on CLCE. Maybe the link has been posted, but only a few weeks ago it was admitted to by LEO. They posted ads looking to trade sex for drugs. It's done all the time. There was discussion here about it.
