Defence is as simple as "I stopped for her because she was hitchhiking". It is near impossible to prove intent if no offers or transactions have taken place.

Engage in conduct that, where warranted under the circumstances, may be deemed to manifest a purpose to procure, solicit or patronize prostitution, including but not limited to:

(a).

Repeatedly beckoning to or stopping pedestrians or motorists in a public place.

(b).

Repeatedly circling in a public place in a motor vehicle in an area where prostitution offenses commonly occur.

Can they arrest someone for just being in an area known for SWs? Without you discussing money for sexual services to an undercover or mic? The probable cause is you being there? Isn't that like saying You started the fire because you have matches?

I'm not a cop, lawyer, or judge so whatever my opinion is probably wouldn't help me out in court. Cops can say or do pretty much whatever they want, who is more believable in court a sworn officer of the law or a horny monger in possession of a known SW?

First I should make clear that I DID NOT scoop her on the street, I picked her up at her apartment just like I would a civilian girl. I DID NOT give her any money or discuss sex at all, but both of us knew what we were going to do and that she would get money after the deed was done. I stopped my monger rig to turn around and paused to use my phone when the LE rolled up totally by chance. I guess it looked suspicious and he pulled up to my car, I think he recognized my companion and decided to give us a hassle and see if either of us slipped up. I wasn't too scared of being busted for any prostitution charges but I was a bit concerned there would be a patdown and he would find drugs on her and then I would get pulled into that, but it never went that far.

The few girls I know from that area say you need to always keep it moving around there, or LE will stop and hassle you. I would tend to agree, a moving rig looks less suspicious. Bottom line is you should be prepared for a LE encounter, this is now the second time I have had a similar situation with a SW in my car. One of my regular girls was burning up the monger phone all last week asking for a date but I had to put her off until last night due to scheduling conflicts.
