Thanks for the validation. I think it's all too easy for our brothers here to get confused about how life works and what this forum is all about. That (in my opinion) is because visiting a prostitute or a massage parlor or picking up a street walker can actually make a man feel so good, so normal, that his confidence level is boosted to the extent that he starts to think that he actually could go to a bar on New Years Eve and hook up with a normal woman, which is the way life should work. Of course if it did work that way, there would be no need for prostitutes, escorts, AMP workers, etc. And there would be no need for this website. But in reality, in this society, there is no normal. I'm not saying there are no exceptions. But I think for most men, life works somewhat this way: Maybe you get laid in high school or college. Up until that age, women and men are enough alike that they are both in touch with their natural human desires. Then, for many men, comes marriage, which starts out with a lot of excitement and even some sex. But after about four or five years, bitterness and disappointment set in. The woman stops performing her duties for the man, who in any event, is tired of the same old same old.

It's at this point that many men (admittedly not all, but a large percentage) either begin to look outside of their marriage for sexual satisfaction or decide that their marriage has served its purpose (often the production of children) and ask for a divorce. It's a shame we don't live in a society like France, where the divorce rate is significantly lower. One reason is that today, it is very common in France for couples to cohabitate and not marry. Additionally, wives in France have traditionally been tolerant of their husbands' extra-marital affairs.

After divorce, in my experience, most woman have so much "baggage" with them that they find themselves unable to interact with men in a healthy manner. And in any case, they cease to be attractive to most men. And if you think that at middle age, you are going to have any kind of a relationship with a young woman, you have been watching too many movies. And if you're a young man, unless you are ugly or extremely fat, you shouldn't need to pick up women in bars. Which is why, whenever I have seen a young man posting here, I have always been forthright in telling him that he has no business playing this game. This game, as it happens, is not a young man's game, but an older man's game.

If that's your advice, why do you inhabit this realm? If you go to a place like Thailand or the Philippines, that might work. Here, in the land of welfare and womens' rights, it doesn't work so well. Women don't feel as though they need men for their survival or well. Being. So they are disdainful of men. A woman can get a job without being qualified for it. And if she can't work or doesn't feel like it, she can go on welfare and live well enough.

Our society and the way we have architected life here makes men, marriage, and even just relationships between men and women pretty much irrelevant. It allows women to pursue their ridiculous fantasies about what a man should be. A huge percentage of men cheat on their wives and an even larger percentage live in sexless, loveless marriages and just accept it as normal. And we all know that around 50% of marriages fail.
