You just mentioning the 80's makes me yearn for them. Don't know if you used to go over the bridge to Everett and Chelsea and Revere, but it was easy pickins outside Caruso's at night or around the 8 am legs and egss times when they opened. The street along King Arthur's, and inside KAs, were ripe with tons of action. There used to be one wild white Italian KAs dancer, Cheryl V., who would party and do anything any where. Even, over in EB at the bar at the Pony it was a trip. Of course there, everyone was doing a lot of heavy stuff. Santarpio's bar during the day time was a hangout for everyone.
I missed those days, but if I had a chance to do it all over again, I would do it all again but double.

Posts: 1701I don't know what it's like now, I quit SWs for the most part and moved to AMPs. But I can tell you for sure in the late 70's & 80's Mass Ave was loaded with SWs, also all around where the Combat Zone used to be. I was too young at the time, but the guys I hung around with were much older than me and they always included me when they were getting the hookers. Probably why I turned out to be such a working girl monger LOL.

Posts: 61Eerily quiet in stamford CT
I have occasion to pass through stamford sometimes and had my best session ever there and have noticed that it has gone eerily quiet with one of the last posts mentioning 4 places having been raided and closed. It was I think similar to what folks have said about providence.
Sorry to bring it up here but in a way perhaps it's not completely out of place becausr in light of the recent goings on in framingham and prior to that bdfrd and even lex I wonder about the stamford silence and how that came about. Anyone know why they've gone quiet?
A.

Next time you see your doctor, ask for a script for Acyclovir. Those pills & Abreva are the best way to stop a cold sore from breaking out. Key is, you need to take them ASAP after you feel the tingling. I have had Acyclovir for over 5 years now and never had a cold sore break out. As soon as I feel the tingling, I'll pop 2 pills four times a day. I keep a few at work & in the glovebox, just in case. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Posts: 1701Yes, and I even keep using it lightly for a couple of days after it is gone, just to be sure it won't come back. I forgot what the directions say but I think they say use 4 times a day, that didn't work as good as every couple of hours did.

Posts: 2142And you keep on applying it in such a regime until the cold sore is gone?

Posts: 1701As soon as I have even a hint of a tingle on my lip, usually first thing in the morning, I immediately rub some on my lip all around the tingle. After I have anything to eat, drink or brush my teeth, I'll put it on again. After that I use it every 2 or 3 hours until I go to bed at night. Be sure your hands are clean when using it and try not to lick your lips, that's my big problem, I'm always worried I've inadvertently licked it off, even though it is suppose to penetrate your lip. It's expensive, about $20 for a tiny .07 oz. But it's worth the cost and trouble. Even if you don't catch the tingle before the cold sore, it's still worthwhile to follow thru with the treatment.

Could you expand a bit in regards to the usage of Abreva? I know that a window for the first use it after you feel an initial tingle on your lip is very short, probably no more then 15 minutes if that but what about after? You say "use it faithfull during the day" you mean like what, every couple of hours or so or even more often? And would you continue to use it until the whole thing is gone or what? Just curious how do you handle it.

It is often the bane of any successful civil action. Finally, the District Court (trial level for the Federal system) in which you file must have personal jurisdiction over the defendant in order to hear the case. As well, there may be venue issues. You will not be able to file in your home state unless the defendant has some connection or presence there. A Web site may not be enough of a presence. I honestly can't remember the case law on this point. This is not something decided purely on a rule of civil procedure or a statute.
Nrlmus:
The Federal Courts have exclusive jurisdiction over copyright actions. No small claims court can hear a copyright action under any circumstances as there is no small claims court in the Federal system. If you file a copyright action in Federal Court, you will be heard, though you may face a motion to dismiss. Depends on the facts and the quality of the pleadings. If you file one in any other court, it will be dismissed for lack of subject matter jurisdiction. Courts cannot hear a case over which they do not have subject matter jurisdiction. As well, courts cannot intervene in any civil or criminal action unless a party with standing files a claim, so it's not really a matter of them getting involved or not. Damages in copyright are limited to actual damages unless its a registered copyright.
Copyright infringement is not worth pursuing unless the damages are significant. Expensive hassle. I've done them. There are better remedies, depending on the facts.

Posts: 2142RE: WGBH Radio Report + Martha Coakley
In the immortal words of the Wailer Peter Tosh: "Legalize it, don't criticize it" First 420 and then the oldest profession in the world would not only improve GDP and relief budget squeeze but (significantly) decrease crime and lower incarceration rate. In short we'll be living in much happier of the society. And we definitely don't want that, don't we? Imagine how many people it would put out of work in law-enforcement sector! Oh, my God! It is also bound however to have negative affect on the booming industry of P.S.ychiatric assistance. So no, it's not happening.

Anyway, I personally can see myself voting for many truly evil personalities before I'd vote for Martha. Maybe we should organize an underground group of "supporters" and call it "hobbyists for Martha." LOL That is bound to derail her campaign once and for all.
