Looks like 18 Sam is back, did some recon and there was a Chinese / Asian guy outside of Boaking. I didn't go inside but it looks like he's in there. It's like a tiny house, looks nice. They seem to be popping up everywhere in Plymouth on court st and or main st. Plymouth is an area where it's not always a sure thing. Do research on this board before partaking, there aren't any reviews for star day spa (on court st) , Boaking, or the other spa off of court.

Looks like what was once a sure fire thing, is no longer.

I read XJD's report with great sadness. I've to Pond several times. Ideal parking, quiet on weekends, many positives. They probably just told the ladies to be a little more cautious, but still.

In the glorious days of no caution at all, there was one lady, long since departed, who used to practically jump on me for a big "regular customer hug" when she'd see me coming through the door. Once inside the dark little room, she'd go the extra mile, even gamely inflicting tennis elbow on herself, trying for two pops without my having asked. Such almost Disney-like on-the-job enthusiasm made the place solid gold in my eyes. But once she left for permanent bacation, I started to notice disturbing trends, chief among them 45-minute hours at 60-minute ticket prices. I began spacing my visits. Still, shortcomings aside, it remained a sure fire thing, as you say. The ladies all understood the baseline level of service associated with their career choice.

Finally, they broke this camel's back by pulling not just a switcheroo, but a double switcheroo. I wanted the lady at the desk to take care of me. She was average looking, but very slim and fairly tall. I made it clear that I wanted her, not the Asian doppelganger of my late grandmother who I had spied lurking in the background. At all previous visits, whoever had greeted me at the desk had also been my provider, so I figured my request would be no problem. Ms. Tall / Slim told me she had to clean up the rooms first; I should come back in 30 minutes. Waiting is always an issue with me, because like most of you I am obliged to plausibly account for my time away from home. On this day, however, I had leeway in that regard, so I went to the nearby business area and stooged around in some store for a bit. I returned at the appointed time.

Ms. Tall / Slim gave me a big smile, led me to the room like a king, took the house fee, and told me: "Thank you. You get undressed. Lady be in. One minute."

Clearly,"Lady" was not going to be her. I protested, but of course once the sixty dead presidents are transferred from your pants pocket to the provider's kung fu grip, you know you won't be getting a refund. So I was stuck with who I was stuck with. Slammin Granny, who brought her fifty-odd years of bodywork experience to bear, completing the service competently, but mechanically. That was at least six months ago, and I have not been back.

When even a sure thing place like this has to resort to what are most likely just absurd, Martha-era, mood-killing "cop-check" techniques. Legally useless though they may be. Then caution is definitely the watchword of the day.

XJD: Glad to hear you eventually did succeed in getting a she-do, rather than a you-do, but for now I'll probably continue my individual boycott, for reasons explained above.

I had coped the text before hitting send, and have now pasted it into a new template. I am hoping that will not result in my wrapped text turing into HARD STOPS. It did that to me once before. Rolled up to Chinatown Station and made the quick walk over to 40H. Buzzed up and I was greeted by the same girl for the third time in about 2 weeks. If you research my previous posts you might figure out her name. Got half hour and layed down no towel. Immediately teasing and after about 10 min the flip. It was the third time there was more of a connection and I talked her top off. After a little dirt talk she offers the BJ. I tell her all I have is .60 and she accepts. Got on her knees on the table and went to war on me. Enormous finish and I'm out. Half hour .40 .60 and I never felt so good in a shitty elevator.

This is nothing more than snob zoning. Certain towns don't want certain types of establishments in their borders. Other towns might follow suit, but I'm betting the bigger cash strapped towns will do nothing and most of the spas will just relocate to those places. Fighting it would be next to impossible. Could you imagine that hearing being televised on the local cable show? Myself I try to avoid frequenting places very close to where I live for obvious reasons. The storefront spa is getting to the point where its not feasible anymore. I think the next marketing step will be the apartment style that NYC has all over the place.

It's not like 80s movies where they band together to fight the man. While they know of each other it's doubtful they get together at Dunks every morning for coffee to discuss the state of affairs in the industry. They're under the radar businesses. Think about it. Do you get out of your car and scream out what you're about to do as you walk through their front doors? Easier to pull up stakes and move on.

Sure sounds like these proprietors just need to get together and have some legal advocate mediate with the town. I don't know all the facts but, it seem very sudden that this occured without any legal basis. Certainly, the town may refuse and then the owners can seek injunctive relief in the courts which means for the town to stop interfering with the owners right to conduct a business. For the record, I am NOT an attorney but have experience in tax law.

I guess opening up bodywork near pizza places is the new norm. Stopped by this place in wey, place is being redone inside, had all indications of an AMP, just uses the storefront as you know what. Got the lady, probably 5'5, nice chest, thin frame, yes, obviously older with youthful body. Very nice oil based massage, worthy of house fee. The massage is much better than most, above average. Damage 40/50. She wanted 60, but coughed up 50 for probably not tipping the last ten or so massage ladies. I think there is more to be had there, didn't inquire that far though, will return.

No sign or anything but a neon open light in the blacked out window, I was told I'd get more next time. Checked out 409 braintree, real good looking asian lady, I wanted to try but was pressed for time, mabey later. Checked to see what was in jolins in braintree, since sabrina left I've not been there. But I meet with tory. Very nice looking. She gave a short massage, then showed me that she was no ladyboy. She finished me up really well. Then told me its been slow an she needs the money. But who knows any way I staggered out happy with my water.

Every time I read a Dh post I feel like it's something I would have written.

Here are two of the upcoming requirements for Arlington:

The applicant shall be able to communicate effectively in English.

The applicant shall provide satisfactory evidence of being appropriately certified in.

Accordance with Section 3 'Certification'.

Certification shall mean successful completion of the most current requirements of the American.

Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA®) , National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) , American Reflexology Certification Board, or other national professional membership organization recognized by the Institute for Credentialing Excellence, or its accrediting body, that provides a certification or credential.

Unless they already possess a massage license they're supposed to be certified by one of the above organizations. Most girls aren't going to get certified. They do massage because they feel it's a no-brainer job that pays well.

As for the police going in and shutting down the places, the owners won't fight it because they're not going to want to go through the trouble, expense or publicity of fighting it. They like this business because it's a cash business and they don't report all the cash. They're not going to sue for lost income. They could sue for harrassment but that again would involve expense and publicity. And I'd be surprised if a lawyer would want to represent them pro-bono. Unless a pro boner is in it for them.

Mr Rogers maybe you have not been off your show long enough and played in this hobby for a while. To clarify once and for all-Massage is licensed by the state of Mass and Bodywork is NOT. BUT there are a limited few towns that have some town specific controls related to bodywork. Arlington MA like most has had no specific controls for Bodywork but that is going to change as of this coming November. They will not require the extensive documented school hours that massage license requires but rather will be verifying several things like criminal records for workers at the establishment and citizenship or green card status etc. There is more but you get the idea. What matters to you is this may be a sign of changing times along with what happened in Bedford last week.

What new regs starting this Nov are you referring to? As this article states, there is a loophole in the current Mass massage law that allows shops to avoid licensing requirements by simply not using the title "Massage" and instead something else like "Bodywork" in naming their business.

It may well be Simply Intimidation. The facts are as I stated them. I never said I thought it was legal. In fact I suggested just the opposite but disclosed that I am not an attorney. Partially for the reasons you speak of it will go unchallenged. I personally feel that is unfortunate but completely understand why most if not all of these owners will not spend the money to have themselves properly represented. Moving forward it may well be another tactic along with town specific regulations to control or change the Bodywork businesses.

What happened in Bedford, if it really happened as described, was patently illegal. The police don't have the power to terminate a contract between two parties. Only a court of law can do that, and then, only with difficulty. No, this is a classic example of good old fashioned civil extortion. LEO shows up and tells the AMP to cease and desist and then trots on over to the landlord and says, if you don't forget all about that lease we'll charge you as an accessory to running a house if ill reputation. Even if the landlord doesn't roll over, his tenant has flown the coop, and the damage is done. Uncle Leo knows there is no Civil Liberties Union for AMPs, so no one with any knowledge or power is going to come to their rescue, no matter wronged they were. It's a technique that's nearly as old as the world's oldest profession itself.

I posted some time ago warning about the regs taking effect on Nov 1 and that it's going to virtually end the AMP as we know it here. This is all being driven from the top. I think old Mahthah hasn't had an orgasm in at least twenty years, if ever, and so, can't understand why anyone else would want to. People like that feel that sexuality is something that needs to be suppressed because of fear of that which they don't understand. The same thing happened with professor what's her name down in Rhode Island that got the law changed. I'm sure she never had an orgasm so just wanted to keep hubby home at night. By the way, have you ever noticed that you never see a smokin' hot advocate for these "reforms"? Hmmm, I wonder why that is.

Are the bad things that happen in the trade? Sure there are, and that needs to be addressed. But there are many more hard working providers that have simply chosen to make a living this way. And now they can't. Everybody loses.

Saw Hong in Wilmington not too long ago. Not bad. If I had to critique it's that she sometimes gets a little chatty and loses focus on the massage. Not the best English but a nice woman though, nonetheless. The location is decent. Looks = 5, Massage =6-7. May or may not repeat at some point but it's a bit of a drive for me. Was there for 65 minutes total. .7+.4

Been there once after going to a legit place. Masseuse was very thin, older, good body for age, but thin. Left happy, that is probably the worst feeling, especially at well known joints like that one. Just try a new place, they are popping up in Braintree, Weymouth even Plymouth.
