Yea, for those that don't know I'm sure it may sound mysterious or wierd. For those that do know though (and I still bear hope beyond hope that they are in the majority) it does sound a bit odd. Also, 'medusa' in many languages means jelly-fish, for obvious reasons (think about its looks) , which is also a dubious hint. Why would a beautiful girl use the name "Medusa" in this business?

For those that haven't thought about Greek Mythology since middle school, Medusa was the a female monster. She had snakes for hair and a face so hideous it would turn anyone that looked directly at her to stone. She was beheaded by "Perseus" who used his shield as a mirror so that he could see her without being turned to stone.

Looking at the picture of Nyx's Medusa, I think she would easily turn a certain part of me to stone.

Actually, the name choice was her's (she's really into Greek mythology). Most of the girls actually pick their own names, my only stipulation is that it's a name from mythology (any mythology) to keep the common theme.

I had actually suggested one of the Aztec, Mayan, or Incan, goddesses considering her heritage. But Nyx said she has enough problems with some of you guys having issues pronouncing her goddesses names as it is. So my suggestion of Xochiquetzal was overruled. .
