Mmppt is spot-on correct, as "pop-up" advertisements are a frequent source for "malware redirect" code, which, in some more recent versions of the offending source code, will "silently" open an unseen browser window, which uploads the worm / trojan / virus in a very effective manner. The Discovery Network disbanded their viewer moderated forums last November after receiving a boatload of complaints from members whose PC's were infected through errant advertising hosted by the Discovery servers.

Errant JAVA source code is the most malevolent offender, be sure that your JAVA software is updated, because a bug in a 2011 update was discovered last summer which revealed a huge security flaw.

AVAST, free antivirus, when properly installed and maintained, is "fairly decent" protection against infection, but your JAVA software must be updated. Mozilla Firefox is one of the better browsers, when used in conjunction with the upgraded software, and current AVAST! Virus profiles.

It's not even the operating system. A lot of times viruses come through advertisers, which the website owner has no control of. They just sell space to third-parties who then source it out to other advertisers. Which is how viruses end up on websites. Use an adblocker for your browser.

I use Spybot and McAfee, but I avoided the link because, well I'm paranoid.

But, I won't blame Littleguy, as he might not be aware there was a virus if his antivirus and adblockers were up to it. If you don't know the poster, don't click the link.

Often times it depends on the operating system. If you plan to access any of those site be sure to have anti-virus software with the latest definitions operating on your pc. There is one nasty malware virus out there call FBI green dot malware virus, it has nothing to do with the FBI it is a scam to separate you from your money. If you get it, reboot your computer in safe mode, restore to a date prior to the virus and run anti-virus software with the latest definitions. Hope this helps!

I saw a new face Thursday afternoon on the K at Venango. Brunette with hair pulled back, clear complexion, very nice large breasts and a little weight on her. She didn't look like the typical street walker junkie to me and she wasn't really working it that hard. I made eye contact and parked a little up the block; she saw me but didn't approach the car. Looped around and parked a little closer. She walked up towards the passenger side but didn't get in when I motioned her too. I could notice someone across the street in the background a navy work jumpsuit with a ridiculous looking afro wig who looked like a cross between a clown and someone who just left a 70's retro party checking us out. This coupled with her refusal to get in the car told me to pass. Everyone knows not to talk through the car window and that female vice will rarely if ever get in your car so I drove off.

Met with a regular girl later that day and told her the story and described the couple. She told me the retro dude is her boyfriend and that she is not a cop. She did say they are a little strange though. Either way I made the right decision as I do not like to date any girls with their bf's lurking like that as it will turn into a rushed date at best.

I found myself in the area for a few days, and decided to venture over to the K for some hunting. Met Brittany at K and B street, by the station. Negotiated 20 for a BBBJ and FS in my truck.
