Sorry, I've been out of town and not near a computer, so am just getting around to reading all the excellent posts here! Lit, to answer your question, I print out the confirmation page, which has the reservation info, including the baby's name, and show that at check-in. I've never had anyone question my access to the room. When they ask for a name, I reply "It's under X", the baby's last name. Since the room is already paid for, they often don't ask for a license, just a credit card for incidentals. As I think about it now, I probably could use my sugar name when making the reservation on line as well, and now that I have a Green Dot card with that name attached as well, my tracks are further covered.

Re hotels. This AM hotels dot com has a new (for me) mysterious option, which is no prepay but pay on checkout. Actually its not an option for the hotel I was looking at, it was the only way to book online. The reservation is still non cancellable. Previously hotels dot com always required payment in advance so no need to pay at check in or out, although last week they ran the credit card for incidentals processing a 10$ charge in advance, reversed after no incidental charges. Don't know how the new policy works exactly re checking out. Its so easy just to walk out knowing the bill is prepaid.
