Zomby's post is a good description of an issue we all face: the extent to which emotions get involved in our sexual activity.

For what it's worth, I think for most normal guys, as in non-sociopaths, it's a matter of when, and not if, emotion becomes a factor. As I said, I have to at least like a girl if I'm going to consider having sex with her more than a few times.

I think emotions are to sex like flowers to spring. They pop up in all kinds of unexpected places.
