No joke but definitely a pile of crap. I was hacked by someone with way to much time on her hands (not a provider). Bank accounts, emails and forums. I had to threaten to move back to Vegas, change my name and cut off all future money which over the next 10 years would be substantial. This was no idle threat. I was so pissed I was ready to call the boss, quit my job and rent a you-haul. This was apparently enough to make her see the error of her ways.

Better to politely invoke your 5th Ammendment rights until you can see a lawyer. If you lie to a cop, they'll catch you and it's all down hill from there. Play it smart and shut up.

A polite,"I don't have anything to say sir." should work. You don't want to come off like a smart ass. Just don't say anything. No matter how much they pressure you or promise you and act like they're your buddy – don't say anything. And especially don't admit to anything. If it comes down to it, wait for your lawyer. Most times they'll let you go if you don't incriminate yourself.

I should point out that your observation that they sometimes watch the girls from a distance so if they see you pick one up, they may come after you or they may not – is not a new tactic. I first noted and posted a comment referring to this same behavior about three or four years back. (Below is the second of my post on the subject.)

LE will generally key in on the girl. They pick an advantage point where they can see the girl. They cannot see into the passing cars or determine the driver's intentions. But, by observing the actions of the girl when a car passes by near her, they have a good chance of catching you making a pickup. The process is so obvious. Cops are not dummies. They know who the girls are. If we can spot a hooker so can they. They are down there nearly every day, seeing and arresting the same girls over and over again. So, it makes sense to me that they would key in on the girl and not the cars or their drivers.

Knowing this and how to properly make a pickup is way more important, IMHO, than knowing whether SWAT is in the area. Having your shit together is way more important than knowing the number of LE out and about. (Maybe I should just say that it's a good idea to know both; how to make a good stop and whose in the area.)

IMHO, you are just as likely to get in trouble in the 26th District if you are not careful. You are the determining factor. Never assume that just because you've cross district lines that you have somehow become invisible.

PS: I should qualify a statement made earlier: If you are caught with a SWer you can sometimes get out of it by knowing what not to say. If you get caught in a sting – your ass is grass.

...I have also said this before and it makes good sense to me: Most mongers get in trouble not during a decoy / sting operation but, while picking up a real SW. LE key in on the girls, they know who they are and they watch them. Most of these girls have been arrested before, LE know them and as for the few who have no arrest, it is so oblivious who they are. If you and I can recognize them, certainly LE can recognize them. It is easier and cheaper for LE to observe the girls, wait for them to get picked up and then swoop down on both monger and SW. In the hood we call that a "Tu-fer," pronounced,"Two for."

We mongers make the mistake of thinking that we are so smart and LE is stupid. They train for this, they do it every day. If they stop a monger during the pickup, they know they have the girl; now all they have to do is trick you into saying the wrong thing and whamo – a "Tu-fer." The odds are in their favor and it is much cheaper than running a "Sting Operation." LE run sting operations in philly maybe once or twice a year (unless there is a public outcry, election or some other reason like there is now). However, LE are on the lookout to grab mongers during a SW pickup every day."The SW pickup," that's where I'd be worry. That's where you'd best be on your P&Qs and that's where you'd better know what to do and not say if it ever happens to you.

Nobody said this is directed against mongers. However, the new District Commander has stated publicly that he wants to eradicate prostitution and drugs-and links them together, as in one feeds the other.

I think you have a valid point here-but LE is going all-out offensive right now and it affects mongering to a great extent. I-For one, have not been discouraged in any way from pursuing pussy, but I am being ultra-cautious.

I disagree with this premise to the extent that if LE sees you picking up or dropping off a girl on Kensington Avenue, they will stop you and possibly arrest you. They are attempting to crack down on prostitution (no pun intended).
