As she was talking, and I was trying to problem solve, I noticed her keys in her hand and asked if her car was locked, she said no, and I said, leave your keys and you can go to your car (I was in my underwear and a little buzzed) , about ten seconds after she went out the door, I looked at the keys and realized what was going on. The keys were just a few old house keys, no car key. I headed out the door, but too late, she was out the driveway, probably had a driver waiting to roll. Placed about 100 calls to her number for the next week to harass her, but the money was lost.

The beauty of the con was that she wasn't insistant, and didn't get my guard up. And she didn't offer her keys. She made them viewable and knew that the john would always ask for them as collateral. Had she offered them, I might have been more inclined to look at them more carefully.

I often wonder if I have ever crossed paths with her again.

Well you were right to tell her no, just too bad you did not think it was a setup before hand or maybe you knew, just thought you had figured out a loop hole? Should have figured it out by her continuing requests. BTW where did you find her? The stupid thing is she is in your house, if you were not going to pay her, rob her, have friends come out of an other room and. Thats going to happen regardless where she puts the money. And afterwards while she is occupied you could just go out to the car and take it. One of the reason I don't like outcall, or if the "driver" waits for the payment.
