Can anyone confirm the bouncer tax issue? It's been a couple months, but last time I saw they guy collecting 20 per visit, even during days.

I can confirm that the bouncer tax is still being applied. It costs $20 everytime you take a girl back into VIP. You take two girls, you pay $40. Suppossedly if you go back as a couple, you only get charged for the number of dancers, but I cannot confirm. This fee is for him to look the other way when you're getting xxxtras, and for him to clean the place up after and dump the trash "can".

The dancers still tip him $25 when they go off shift. So imagine how much tip money that guy leaves with each shift!

I shouldn't incur the VIP tax at BT's as I plan on being there during the day. I will possibly have a couple of days to play, so if I can stretch my funds out I will probably hit up both places. What I like about Bogarts is the dirty / seedy side of it. Not sure if VIP is still wide open, but having two girls slob on me in the wide open area was pretty thrilling. Also, even though the talent is less than what other clubs might have, I have been pretty lucky in my ventures there, as well as kept my VIP trips well under $ each time.

I just asked the gents of the forum to clarify the bouncer tax issue at BT's. Last time I was there (before Christmas) they were still collecting per visit.

Bogart's VIP is no longer all open. Individual booths have replaced the voyeur's paradise.

I always go to BT's before 6PM. But the problem the girls at BT's during daytime are really not that great, mostly in 6-7's. BT's during day time always has a crowd of guys who are good friends of the owners and the good looking girls spend time with them. I have also not met any body at BT's who do BBBJ with CIM and swallow.

The best time I have had recently has been in Coli's at around 7 pm. I had only around 30 minutes to spend. The club was not that crowded and girls were also not that drunk. Walked into the club, stood by the second bar where you can smoke. Then a good looking blonde, mid 20's in a short black dress walks over and I have small talk with her and then we go back. I have had plenty of extras at centerfolds. Personally I like the place. It is a very relaxed atmosphere and the girls / staff are nice to chat with. Most of the girls will not do extras however there are plenty of girls that are game for some fun upstairs. The only downside to upstairs is that the curtains don't completely blOck the view, and the DJ sometimes peeks in to watch the show.

BT's by far. If you go during the day (before 6 I believe) you will avoid the booth tax. Park in the neighborhood and avoid the Valet tax, leave your coat in the car and avoid the coat check tax. More funds for fun. One other note, if you are temped to try a double, the VIP tax doubles. As others have pointed out, better talent and much better VIP at BTs. But the talent is trying hard to hold price on FS at $$ and BJ at $.5. You can negotiate it down and I urge you to do so.

I will be coming back to Detroit next week (woo hoo!) and am looking forward to some daytime fun. I have been to Bogarts, H8's, and Flight Club. I wasn't fond of H8's, except the sexiest bartender ever, and Flight Club was okay, but Bogarts was always a good time. I like my joints to be a little seedier casual. Just a personal preference.

This review covers two visits on consecutive days. *

While in town on business, I visited on a Tuesday for a late lunch. *Got valet parking, no cover charge. Was greeted by Janelle (waitress) and Juanita (shot girl) , who both remembered me from a previous visit. I sat at a booth and ordered the BOGO special on Bud Lite Lime. *

There was a bit of a dancer shortage until about 2pm. I would say about 4 girls before, and maybe 7-8 after. The talent level was quite low, though. *I think there was one Black. 1 multiracial Black, and the rest White. I would describe most in the 6-8 range, but 2 of the White girls had no business dancing. I seriously asked a dancer if those two girls were the House Moms. *When I first arrived, there appeared to be 5-6 other customers, but before too long, there would only be me and another small group. *

While I waited for my ATF, I did shots with J & J. We had a good time and I got introduced to the DJ, who played my two requests. After my ATF arrived, I had some fun and games with the girls, then went back for a half hour. I'm inclined to agree, I was about to mention there was no extras at centerfolds but I remember a time where I was in there and I got a HJ for $ back in 01 or 02. I happen to enjoy both clubs. Depends on what you are looking for. Bogarts is seedy and dirty. The talent can be hit or miss with more of a miss type of atmosphere. The waitresses will constantly hassle you to buy more drinks. All in all it can be a good budget place to have some fun.

BT's on the other hand is much cleaner. They try to be a more upscale club and it does show. The place is well lit for a club and you don't feel like you are in a Mexican border town bar. The girls at BT's tend to be younger with tight bodies. Anything goes, and while you do pay a VIP tax every time you go to the back, the bouncer cleans up and leaves you to do as you please. Very pleasant atmosphere. If I had to make a comparison, I would say that BT's is the dirty little sister to the Penthouse club.

I posted reviews below for both bars. BT's is easily twice the size of Bogart's, and twice as nice, too. So with those two facts, you're going to inccur more taxes as mentioned below. Certainly the VIP is way more private and nicer at BT's. Music loudness is a matter of where you sit, as I have wanted the music louder at BT's when I sat near the Dressing Room.

I disagree with Street a bit. I think the girls at BTs are generally better looking by an average of about a point. The biggest downsides to BTs are: a) all the taxes (valet, coat, VIP) and be) the music is too damn loud. The biggest downsides to Bogies are a) the waitresses hustle for drinks constantly and be) less privacy in the VIP area. Personally, I find the chances of uninterupted high mileage is better at BTs, and several of the taxes (other than VIP) can be avoided. If it's Tuesday I'd go to Bogies.
