Deleo, we have all had bad experiences but you can improve your odds by doing research. Read the past threads on this site and other similar sites. There are many. You can also subsribe to a paid into site such as another site. Google her phone # and see what comes up.

I almost always go for the 1/2 hour test drive first. Better to loose less coin. If she insists on the full then I have to be pretty sure she is worth it and I want to be there for a full hour.

I totally agree with Racer and this is something you'll learn. If they are insisting on something. It is generally a red flag. Insisting on an hr? No thanks I'll catch you another time.
