I think it's funny how everyone has an opinion about the "police gang" and this grand ole' conspiracy. First off, this is a hobbying board, not your town hall. Secondly, the fact that you're on here probably means you're interested in or looking to do something which is less than legal. Blame the law all you want but if you get booked it's not like the cops were looking to catch and frame an innocent person.

Thanks for your thoughts MM. That view might be typical for some, but not me. I was engaged to a prosecutor for a while and got to know plenty of her colleagues, LE and others in "the system". In addition, I have enough friends that are local LE, troppers and the like to know the accurate story. I wish the standards were higher. Just my humble experience.

Your ex-fiance and her colleagues amount to just how much of a percentage of total people in that field? It isn't mathematically sound or fair to make a judgement based on your experience with such a very miniscule precentage of those in that field. Maybe your ex was part of the problem that you speak about, either way definitely in the minority of all LE and judicial people.

LE & Judicial workers are like every other group on this planet. Most of them are honest people with standards. Unfortunately there are some bad in their ranks as well. Your view is typical of someone looking through the lense of fear because you do something that you know is illegal. Now I do this too, so don't take it personally. But if you were not out picking up prostitutes you probably wouldn't feel the way you do about LE. The bottom line is they have a job to uphold the law and prostitution is illegal, geez I wonder why they bother us-for the life of me I can't figure it out. And if you think prostitution is a victimless crime you need to open your eyes. Look at the neighborhoods and the characters drawn to them by prostitution. No one forces us to do this, so if you choose to monger you have to accept the risks that come with breaking the law of this great land, or stop doing it! Prostitution & soliciting a prostitute are crimes and you will get locked up if caught. You knew this before you ever picked up your first prostitute.

I have not seen Holly for about 6 months. She seems to have a habit of disappearing for long periods of time.

A lot of girls are in lockup. The warrant squad does a good job. Thought I saw her about a month ago around westmorland and the K (standard spot)

The prosecutor and LE and very sad to say even the judges most times work, play, socialize and even sometimes live together. It's a very dirty system and it is WHO you know. I have seen it firsthand more than once. At first I couldn't believe what I was seeing, but so is the case.

I apologize if you are reading this and you are one of the few clean, fair and trustworthy workers in the field, but IMHO you are a rare exception. We need more like you. Favors, perks, looking the other way is the way of life there. That's the way "the system" works.

It's amazing how much trouble thinking with the little head can get us into. Beware!

If it were me in that situation I would sort out all the facts. What do the cops have on you? Did they catch you in any incriminating act such as asking a decoy questions regarding paying for sex? Are there any witnesses that would testify they heard you trying to buy sex? Did any money change hands? When confronted with these situations you should always deny everything. If they feel they have enough evidence against you they will prosecute. They must also present that evidence to you. At that time you can determine if there is a need for a lawyer.

Being in an area of known prostitution is not a crime in itself. You could have been searching for a particular person that you may know, such as a relative or friend that is on the skids. Just trying to help and keep that person out of trouble.

The prosecution banks on the fact that one may not have a backbone and will crumble under pressure. To them it's dollars and cents. If they can not go to court with a rock solid case most times they will look elsewhere.

Assuming one was convicted, if it were a first offense chances are that person would be let go on probation or a fine or maybe both.

In my entire life I have never met anybody that has gone to jail for solicitation. Think about that.

I was looking through the old pics of 2011 (in CJ's thread) and saw Melanie on there. Brings back fond memory. If I ever had anything close to an ATF it was her. Anyone knows what happened to her? I only saw her once in August 2011, and never since. She was a sweet girl, and one of the few on the Ave I've actually held a real conversation with.
