Scare some johns out of their plans and you accomplish several of LE's goals: the jails are full and the courts are backlogged, so preventing a "crime" means no paperwork to fill out and no court to go to - i.e. more time for hanging at the local Dunkin' Donuts. Scaring off the johns helps to drive the traveling girls (and maybe a local or two) out of town to more productive climes. Some cop may think he's doing you a favor by "saving you from yourself."

While searching the ads on backpage earlier this year, I called a provider and someone identified their self as an Officer. I hung the phone up right away. A gentleman called me right back and stated he was LT. Whatever and he knew what I was trying to do. I hung up the phone again and turned it off for night. Cbd, while I agree with you, the sad truth is that there men who *will* pay that kind of exorbitant rate in Richmond, and in every metro area of significant size. Some don't know any better, but in general it's a function of what each guy considers "worth it". If you're making mid 6 figures, those rates might seem cheap for someone with Hollywood-calibre looks and body, and there are plenty of girls in the big cities that make several times her rates per trick. Also, at those rates she only needs to see 3 or 4 gents a week to live quite well (at 3 gents a week and no taxes, she's doing a damn sight better than me!)

Looks aside, the only difference between a $3K / hr "executive escort" and a $50 / hr UTR girl is opportunity and self-confidence. They're all still selling their ass. And we're buying, so we have zero no moral superiority on our side. It is what it is.
