If your not from Philly. I would not walk the ave. Rent a cheap car, I'm from here and would't walk need the somerset station.

If you do go up to Kensington by El, going during the day is good advice. I would also recommend, getting off at Huntington Station and just stroll between Lehigh and Cumberland, in that stretch the greatest concentration of SWs is out during the day. They also tend to be the prettier ones (IMHO). If you go further north, there will be long stretches with no action.

I am going to be visiting Philly for the first time for a convention. I am staying in a hotel right by the convention center, but I probably won't have a rental car. So, I am interested in mongering opportunities within walking distance of the convention center. I understand that Chinatown is right there, which I imagine offers some AMPs to play at; is there anything else right in that area to look at?

I am interested in AMP addresses, strip clubs (where extras could be had) , or known SW locations in that area. If needed I could ride the subway somewhere, but I don't want to get trapped in any dangerous hoods.

You'll be walking distance from AMPs. You can just grab a local free paper and turn to the back.

SWs are on Kensington which you could get to by taking the Market Frankfort line and then saunter around until you find something you want. Not a dangerous hood, just run down and junky. It does have a lot of drugs (why the SWs are there). Go during the day, you'll still see plenty of SWs. Get off at Erie-Torresdale and walk south you can go home by getting on one of the other stations.

I agree with Cookiejar when it come to the SWs earnings. Most dates I get here in Reading require about 20-40 bones. I was talking to a fellow monger and we were thinking how odd the work ethnic of the SWs are. I mean they tell you all the stories about how desperately they need the bones. But as soon as you are done they are off the street and gone for the night. I am sure there are those guys that give top bone once in awhile but that is out of the ordinary. I would think the same chances of catching the game ball at a baseball game. Just my. 02

This has got to be the right place. And, This is a very interesting topic indeed.

The math: 1,600 + 2,500=4,100 / 2=2,050 / $100=20.5. At $100 a date she would have to do 20.5 dates a day. That comes out to 0.8542 dates an hour. Assuming she sleeps at least 4 hours a day, that would be I, $100 date an hour. Maybe in NY on Hunts Point, but that ain’t happening in Philadelphia, on Kensington Ave.
I have been with and talked to hot girls here in Philly who have complained about not being able to get a deceit $30 date after being out for hours. I have seen Hottie Nicole pacing back and forth, for hours seeking dates.
Two things come to mind. 1. These girls are prone to exaggeration. They don’t want to admit to themselves or others that they often work 24 hours sucking dicks for $100 on a good day. 2. Most of the girls, even the ones who work for pimps tend to go in once they have made their quota. Once a girl has the $20 or $100 dollars it take to get high they call it a day. Have you noticed that girls seldom want to be dropped off on the Avenue after a date. That’s because after a date they are not interested in making more money, they are interested in getting to their dealer.
Sure, a girl may luck-out and get a guy willing to pay her top dollar for a night, but how often can that happen. I am certain that in the girl’s mind it happens every day – they need to keep face. Unless you guys have been lying, here in Philly, she’d have to suck 83 dicks a day, in the back of 83 cars. And! If each blow job took a half hour; that would come out to roughly, a 40 hour day. Hmmmmm! I ain’t buying it.

Putting this here. Didn't know where else to post it.

Maybe a year ago there were lots of posts speculating about how much $$$ SWs make out there. Yesterday there was an article in the NY Times about a former SW with a mention of $$$ that caught my eye. So this is related to the $$$ question but the article deals with a very young SW up in NYC in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx, not the typical SW we see on the K. The article was about how this SW is going straight and lets remember that this is not confirmed information. So anyway, here is what the NY Times reported that some FORMER SW told them:

"Snared into prostitution at 13. That summer, in 2001, she was outfitted by a 21-year-old man who. Brought her to Hunts Point.

'He gave me the little shorts to wear, and the little tank top thing to wear. He told me: 'Just stand right there. When the car pulls up, just tell them, 'You want to have a good time? ' You tell them the price, then you go and do whatever. ' '

For the next eight years, she was sold by men to men. She went through spells when her young body was bringing in $1, 600 to $2, 500 a night. All of it went to the pimps."

Personally, I am dumbstruck. Rates in Hunts Point are reported to be in the range of $100. Could be lower, for a UASW maybe its higher, who knows. This is street action, not outcall or incall service. Still, do the math!

Another option that came to my attention over the weekend is Ring Shuffle (www.ringshuffle.com). Basically you give it your mobile number, pick an area code, and it gives you a "shuffle" number good for a week. Done with the number? Shuffle to a new one.

No text options, unfortunately, and it won't address the calling number coming up on the bill issues (use one of the VoIP options for Google Voice to avoid that) , but will give you a temporary number that will ring your phone and can be disposed of when finished.

I was able to pick out my own personal number from any area code (as long as it is available) , or you can look at the list and pick one out. Not sure what comes up on your phone bill since I do the auto pay / paperless thing. Plus I don't have anyone looking though my phone records. I'll have to check that part out and reply back with that one (unless someone out there knows the answer to that).

I tried it, when I used my old gmail account, it asked me if I want a number. Then I used my new gmail account (associated with my android phone) and it did not ask me if I wanted a new number. Wonder if they don't offer them when you have one

Yes this can show up on your cell bill. I use a Tablet and use the mic to make my calls. No number to link it to. Nothing to find.

I tested out google voice yesterday with my android phone. I then went to my verizon account online and when I look at the detailed call usage, it does show a google connection number and if I was somewhere on the road, I'm sure it would also show the locaton where I am calling / receiving. Not quite as complete as I need. I need the capability of making these callls thru google but not showing up on the verizon usage bill. In case the wife decides to check. Hopefully there will be an answer to this. For the android phones.

It may not be the perfect solution to everyone, but I'm sure it'll be useful to some people. For me, much more convenient not having that extra phone to hide, charge, and pay for. I believe you can have the account on a "do not disturb" setting, so it'll go straight to voice mail, and shouldn't show up on your bill since it doesn't call you. If you are able to text the girl, you can do that right from your computer like emailing. You can also listen to your voice mails there to.

You're not getting a unique phone number from google, right? I can't imagine they are giving people phone numbers for free or for very little $$$$.

So if people are sharing numbers, how does google know to transfer that call to you?
