I remember running into the name and address thing at AMPs in outlying counties before. Paradise Spa down in Jonesboro was required to do that. This was maybe 10 years ago. (Best AMP ever in Atlanta, but I digress.) However, they never asked for an ID to verify the request. It was easy to memorize a made-up name and address and write that down. The mamasan didn't even look at that book. She kept a separate book with the client's first name (or in my case, the one I chose to give them) and list of girls they'd seen so that she could check if you had been there before.

If you'll allow me to reminisce, you guys who weren't in the AMP scene 10-12 years ago have no idea what a perfect world you missed. Atlanta got the cream of the crop from Korea then. You could walk into any number of spas then and choose from genuinely model quality girls in their twenties. (The famous Sky would be just sort of average back then.) You could be sure of first-rate skills and pleasant, customer-focused service. All this was for the standard rate of 60 + 140. I traveled a lot then, and Atlanta's AMP scene was one of the best you'd find anywhere.

The Man trying to cripple AMPs with unnecessary carpentry, I guess.

    Good distinctions

As for the "completely clothed" part, I'm guessing that the therapist won't disrobe until after the deal has been sealed in the room, and then will keep the lab coat handy in case there's a bust. But you are right that most spas won't bother to fight this. Most will be harassed and eventually will leave, which is the whole purpose of the bill.
Well I am NOT a lawyer, so this may be WAAAAY off base. But just curious about one thing. City council can establish criteria and legislation to govern how a business operates. But, they have to take it to a voter referendum to determine what types of businesses are allowed to operate within the jurisdiction. I made that as a statement, but it really is meant as a question. Is that right? Which if correct, is a pretty sh-ty way for elected officials to determine what businesses their constituency wants. I know it doesn't really matter in the end as I agree most AMPs will simply pack up and leave.

So, enjoy those NW Atl AMPs while you can! They may become as scarce as those South American houses.

Undergarments must be worn? Ha. That's a civil rights lawsuit waiting to happen."Excuse me miss, you have to pull up your skirt so I can check your undergarments". Geez. And I wouldn't even go to a legit massage place and give them my address. I guess they just want to hurt the whole massage industry as if our economy needs that.

Just want to make sure I go there with the right info. So FS is 60 + 160 or when you say 160 total that's everything?

Yeah, it's ripe for abuse. Still curious what "completely clothed" means. What's the difference between light output and wattage? It's a nuance at best. AMP owners aren't likely to be defiant and fight this stuff. They'll simply pack up and leave for a friendlier county or perhaps city.

Several of them had real dimes working as hostesses. When I was in the area, I'd often stop for a coffee and enjoy a nice iced coffee with a little eye candy. The clientele were small groups of Viet guys playing cards and smoking. I could never figure out how these places stayed in business just selling a few coffees. I figured they must be fronts for other sorts of activities. A couple of times I was able to get the waitresses into a conversation. One of these was a professional model. She got out her portfolio book to show me. Usually, though, I just got a cold shoulder. The staff and customers were suspicious of non-Viets and everyone was waiting for me to leave. I've noticed that most of these places are closed now. The ones that are still open don't have the hot young hostesses anymore. My guess is that there's an underground network of some kind that goes by word of mouth in the Viet community.
I got pretty much the same response when I would go to the Viet coffee shop on Buford Hwy, if it's still there. I think the real action starts in a back room after hours when the place closes to the public. No way can the coffee shops generate enough revenue from coffee and snacks. If you want a Viet woman, you're probably better off hitting on one at a hair or nail salon who's a little older and has a couple of kids.
