It's all about hassling guys to keep them away. They can pull you over on any pretext (you didn't signal a turn or lane change, you were "weaving," it looked like your mirror or brake light wasn't right) , question you and ticket you for any of the phantom moving violations, in which case it's your word against theirs and you're in a high-SW neighborhood far from where you live. Think a judge will give you a break? At least, that's the fear LEO is trying to plant in your head.

I try to be careful what time I'm in these places. Not too busy is best.

Same here I have been pulled over and harassed by the cops for being white in the wrong neighborhood. Those black cops in Detroit are more racist than any white people.

Rolled through a couple of the areas mentioned in this forum that I had not checked out before. Harper was empty for miles between midnight and 1. Don't know what that's about.

Drove on John R street today. I was surprised! Several prostitutes out there working.
