I have refused a date with this man, but have never stood him up. He says he is in Lima Ohio. He is not a senior member and all he does is send e mails using 3 or 4 different names. This man appears on the board in Indianapolis.

Let me understand this. You're saying a girl who works as escort has had her reputation damaged when someone reports he heard a rumor that the girl was arrested. That same individual states he does not know if the rumor is true.

So are you suggesting that reporting an rumor as unverified is somehow actionable as libel? Hardly. Also there is the issue of damages. What is she she going to do argue to a jury that her income as escort was diminished. Income from an illegal activity hardly qualifies as damages. And if it did, I doubt she reported her income from escorting on previous tax returns. So she can file a frivolous suit against the poster and have the IRS charge her filing false tax returns.
