Use a web browser. Not the App. Else you won't get the discount offer. Using the Google Chrome browser the offer randomly pops up while browsing. You may want to try logging off and on to force it. On the app, I don't think I've ever seen the offer.

You can actually still find coupons online with a search; I was successful about 3 months ago, though I apologize, I don't still have the specific code handy. The trick is you have to find a coupon URL and swap in a working coupon, as the field to type it in is gone from checkout.

I still get the prompt for it. I think my membership expired right before the price increase. I don't plan on returning though even with it. I believe they offer it soon after expiration but then after a month or two they stop sending them. I could be wrong.
