I never did deposit. I would consider doing it in a few cases of well know providers in the area. I understand the providers need to have some assurance especially for outcalls.

But most of the providers asking for a deposit are scams.

And most of the time we can detect the scam. Some of the them post ads with unrealistically beautiful ladies. Some of them post fake photos (many easily detected by doing a Google image search). Some of them text you back saying "what is your zip code?" LOL.

Some of them will actually give you an address (which actually exists but is not related to them).

As for the other topic of providing money in advance to help providers you know to help them in difficulties, I also agree here. NEVER do that. I never do it anymore. I've paid deposits twice and I never had a problem, but that was well before covid and with two well established and reviewed providers who were visiting Chicago. Nowadays most people who ask for deposits may not even be women let alone providers, they're just running a scam. Even the legit providers can jam you up if there's a cancelation. If I cancel because I get called into work they'll keep my money saying they've blocked out time for me and they deserve something for "wasting their time". If one of them cancels they could say they'll apply to the next appointment and then block you so you can't make another or if they're visiting they may never come back. What am I supposed to do then complain to my bank or the Better Business Bureau? The risk is not worth the reward to me.

If I am seeing a high end well reviewed provider, I will pay a deposit. Some random chick on skip with no real verifiable reviews and no online track record and presence, I absolutely will not ever pay a deposit.
