So a name change is one strategy to give that impression. It's not friendly to us, even though her regulars know it's her.

Recently, some bookers actually updated their own website to reflect an alias (listing both names together). This has become more common the last few months.

I have seen dozens of reasons for rebrands, some ridiculous and dramatic. But it doesn't help us much to know most of those reasons. Of course, some girls rebrand due to bad reviews but that doesn't explain many other cases.
