For what it's worth, Mitsui is a common female Japanese name, and while soju originates from Korea, it is also very popular in Japan, as it is typically lighter in alcohol and easier to mix with fruit flavors and carbonation; sake remains more popular among heavier drinkers, and it's use in traditional ceremonies.
