Posts: 238Holy hell. This is why heath is important folks! Because there's so much misinformation online. Yall need to start actually consulting with your doctors.
PREP provides about 99% protection against HIV, meaning all means of transmission (semen, vaginal fluids, fecal matter & blood).
It's a once a day pill that blocks HIV from spreading in your body by essentially creating a forcefield around your cells, preventing the HIV from replicating and therefore from forming an infection.
If you take it as prescribed, you are pretty much immune to HIV. This is a fact. The horror stories of PREP not working are absolutely due to people who don't take the pill properly. You have to take it consistently. Missing days on end will reduce and eventually nullify your protection.
Of course, yall could just decide NOT to fuck raw, but I'm not one to judge. So please, educate yourselves, and get prep already.

Posts: 179New HIV Prevention drug shot offering 6 months of protection
Yeztugo is the new HIV prevention shot just approved in 2025—it's a big deal because you only need to get it twice a year for six months of protection. It's called lenacapavir, and studies showed it was nearly 100% effective at preventing HIV in people at risk. You get two injections in the abdomen every six months, and it's a game-changer for anyone who doesn't want to worry about taking a daily pill. Just remember, you have to test negative for HIV before starting, and it doesn't protect against other STIs, so keep using condoms for full protection.

I say all that to say. I wouldn't worry too much about HIV. All the other STDs are still out there though.

Not trying to be argumentative but did you read this right? To protect against hiv as a man doing sex vaginally you just have to take it a full 20 days. Which is longer than the other variations. But happy to hear what you read.

In an ideal society, well-informed young folks can have sex, and practice good judgement with who they have sex with and how (as in, using condoms). Sex is wonderful, whether it's casual or monogamous, but like anything, one needs to have restraint and make good decisions because one bad decision can stick with you forever.
The lack of education here extends to sexual health. America has always had shitty sexual health curriculums, despite pushes to integrate it more deeply into education. In high school we had an hour long STD education class that happened in our school auditorium. That was only the sex health class I had ever had in the history of my school career.
As long as America's education institution continues to make sexual health education a low priority for young folks, this kind of rampant, irresponsible sex behavior is only going to get worse, especially as technology makes it easier, and the youth's role models (influencers, etc.) validate it.
On top of that -- participants in this hobby won't make it any better, because you know, every other question is "does she do BB". LOL.

LOL. These old boomers are doing more fear mongering than regular mongering these days.
If you are a straight man who doesn't shoot up, you have little to worry about for HIV. If you are concerned, you can get on prep and your chances of getting HIV go from 1% to 0. 001% or something ridiculously small like that.
HIV is also no longer a death sentence.
But with all that said. It's always best to stay safe and know the risks of engaging in this dangerous hobby.

I remember when I got into the game years ago there was this pretty Hispanic woman who basically did the same thing and I believe wore latex gloves too. She made all these promises but the real encounter was horrible. Finally her name got around and she was one to be avoided.
Other girls size you up at the door. If they find you attractive you can get away with more and the less attractive you are to them they try and get way with doing less, they rush and they want more $$. Some things are a no brainer. Take a shower and smell good and the outcome should be better. In many ads I seen providers say take a shower and no funky smells otherwise they will refuse service.

The youth today aren't afraid or concerned of HIV because they know all they have to do is take a pill and they will live. In my youth HIV was a death sentence and people died in a couple years and there was nothing the hospital could do about it. Big strong men or young beautiful women were reduced to a skeleton in a few years and had a slow agonizing death. HIV was also attached to big names like Magic Johnson, Gia Carangi, or Tommy Morrison so nobody was immune.
HIV is no joke. Its a nasty intelligent virus that attacks the immune system and causes the body to be unable to fight off simple opportunistic infections.
Having said that, American life is changing and not for the better which is why HIV is on the rise again. Less people are getting married, probably record out of wedlock births, the hookup culture is in full swing due to cellphones, and all of this is influenced by porn which has grown substantially and has become more hardcore since I was a teen looking at Playboy.
I would argue you're probably safer with a mid tier escort because at least she's going to make sure condoms are used every time because its a job to them.
In the real world in this day and age the youth meet up on apps, they drink and smoke, then they hop in the bed together that same day not getting tested first or using condoms consistently and they do this routine going through different people for years.
A lady once told me her younger sister told her that she slept with 25 boys by the time she was a hs senior! That was unheard of in my day unless the girl was a street prostitute. Another lady I briefly went out on a few real dates said she spent all her 20's partying in NYC drinking and now she's overweight with liver problems and single. She is like a lot of women who were influenced by sitcoms like Sex in the City not realizing its all fake and its not a healthy way to really live especially for a woman.
Then there is a podcast online and this man who host the show says women who go through the American college system just figure that she slept with at least 50 dudes before she met you so plan accordingly. Then you have all the touring pro sports teams and musicians who come into town where women regardless if they're married or have boyfriends they sleep with these men right away because they're celebrities. A member of jane's addiction has bunch of stuff written about him by girls online who say he gave them herpes. Usher was sued for the same thing.
Promiscuity has really taken off in America especially if you're in certain social circles. Miami, NY, Atlanta, Texas and even down south all have high rates of new HIV diagnoses compared to the national average.

At the end of the day, think with the right head and use protection for all acts (yes, even oral) regardless of who you're seeing.
Stay safe.
