Interesting to know. Everyone should do what they think is right, I only provided the instructions on how to use the tools. Excommunication is a last resort and generally reserved for safety violations, it's important that it not be over-used for anything less. Naturally people expect clear proof about a serious safety violation (ex. Threats of violence). It doesn't mean people don't believe the claims if they don't vote, just that there is a high bar to meet to vote for a nuke. Sometimes a warning is enough, sometimes it isn't. Mute may be enough in lesser cases, they can't use their account X days and the message is to cut it out. Just being an asshole isn't enough for a nuke since there could be two sides of it (maybe the other party made threats), whereas clear one-sided threats of violence like the examples shown can't be justified. We all understand the difference between self defense versus an ambush. Thanks for your info.

I can't tell others how to vote, I just want to explain the tools. My opinion is they must be reserved as a last resort and with proof. It is just an observation that immigration checks are more strict than before, even for domestic flights. It is a minor hassle for citizens, permanent residents, and valid visa holders. I had to show my citizenship status at certain airports or when driving near the border. Real ID on your DL is the easiest way to show this and will be required in the future.
