Yeah it's annoying, I had to do something like that when I did Uber a few years back. You had to upload your driver's license (Uber), and then ask you to take a picture of your face with the app. Every few months the app asked you to scan you face again to verify yourself. I had to do the same thing this Christmas when I booked a AirBnB. They got your license, but they want you to take a selfie to match it up.

It's up to you, but it's probably the same kind of thing, as it's not SDM holding your picture; it's whatever security company does that verification service for them. The good thing is, if that company gets hacked in the future it's going to be their name in the media, not TallGuy is on SDM.

You buy a package (1, 3 and 6 months) and the costs are lower pre-month the more you. You just need to make sure you turn off Renewal under your Settings. Otherwise, you get billed for the same at.

SDM and Seeking are getting used to free money. They are just banning many paid members for no reason as the amount is non-refundable for any reason.

There is a reason why money is non-refundable at any cost.

Only way to get money back is pay membership through credit card and do a dispute if something goes wrong, preferably with amex.

SDM and seeking won't mess with Amex as they clearly know they are doing fraud by keeping people's money when they are not providing service or cancelation.

Only few people want their money back for service not rendered anyhow and majority lose money.

I just signed up on there for the first time, and all I've had to do is verify a phone #. I haven't uploaded any pics or worked on my profile though. Of course I wouldn't use my real pics or upload a selfie, or anything like that. I suppose I should try to get that set up before I buy any time on the site.
