It is a Co-op. You own the right to occupy and control the room but ownership of the structure remains in the hands of the operator.

About 5% of hotels are run where the units are owned by individuals and the hotel rents them out and splits the rental fee with you. This way a hotel can buy a hotel, sell the rooms and have no debt on the property.

Just have to look on Zillow.

After the hurricanes (I'm in construction industry) I bought a hotel room ($120 k which becomes tax rightoff) in an inexpensive hotel (2-3 star) set it up with sex toys, sex furniture. Not exactly romantic but I am not comfortable having SBs in my primary residence.

Be careful. Have you checked to see if she is still active on Seeking? You are rarely if ever the only option she has, no matter what she tells you. You are good till more $ comes along.

Absolutely being careful, I know there may be others but we had some pretty deep conversations before we met. At the same time I'm not going to be naive about it either. Just checked and although she still has a profile, it shows last active over 2 months ago which is right about when we first had contact. I'll enjoy it while it lasts!
