Hi, I have seen what you're describing. My thoughts are a bit mixed on this. Alternative channels are inevitable and even necessary, they have long operated this way. We are lucky USAG has lasted this long. They support each other. And it is not possible for either group to do everything on its own. I have been invited but declined since I am always close to retirement anyways. Instead, I have written guides and left clues for those in the future.

I received a PM recently that wanted to gauge my interest and share my thoughts on forming a private group chat of more active users that essentially performed identical to this forum. I felt it important to share where I stand on this and hopefully inspire others to be more active in this space. My reply is as follows with some edits to keep it anonymous.

IMO I think the whole point of this forum is to get reliable info that will help us find what we like and avoid those that we don't. In order to achieve that in any meaningful way we just need more people participating and sharing intel. Fragmenting into smaller private groups ultimately is counterproductive and detrimental for every monger here in my estimation. The reason being that as customers we have the advantage in numbers, the more that we share the better we can get an accurate picture of (almost) every kgirl. No single private chat group will achieve what can be done by mongers en masse on this forum. By forming small groups, we slowly chip away at our best resource -us, the mongers. In turn, we incrementally lose info / intel that can help us better supplement or complement info we already know and better navigate the minefield that is the ever rotating kgirl puzzle board.

Unfortunately, a good amount of mongers still operate under a tit for tat mentality instead of just paying it forward so that others that benefit from their input and hold onto the belief that they themselves will get good intel / info at a later date. I get it that we sometimes get discouraged when we post a question but all that answers is silence. Or when what we share is dismissed, ignored, undermined, or what have you. But can you just imagine if every active poster here just makes one TOFTT post, regardless of benefit, what a treasure trove of information we can amass? Just think about it.
