First Timer
Start by driving the full length of the stroll from end to end and back a few times to get a lay of the land. After that, continue driving back and forth looking for SWs. Presumably you know what to look for. If you do see someone, do not pull up directly. Make eye contact then pull over or turn a corner. She will come to you. Do not discuss $ until you have driven away a bit. If, upon closer observation, you decide not to proceed be prepared to apologize and give $5 or $10 for her time. Do not leave any cash or valuables in plain sight. Be prepared to drive for a long time because some hours there is nothing to see then suddenly a few will be walking. Keep this in mind every minute: These are not girls you find in bars. These are hard core addicts.

I did see another chick that looks like the one you were talking about. I was able to scoop her up one day but on the way to the parking location, she changed her mind. She said she was half Ukrainian and half Puerto Rican. Petite with curly hair. Cute face. I don't think she fully committed to being a SW. This one is often hanging around prevention point. Hopefully I'll have better luck with her another day.
Some of these girls are able to manage and play the SW game for a long time and be around for years. Others fall off fast. Some skip the whole SW phase and go straight to smelly homeless nutcase.

I'm very sad to report the Kensington life style took the life of another beautiful girl. A long time well known figure of the stroll. Stephanie passed away Monday evening at a local hospital. Stephanie was the nicest most pleasant girl IMHO ever on the stroll. She was way way to good for the Ave. She was trapped for way to long and the Ave. Caught up to her. Over the passed 2 years Steph and I became really good friends. We spent a lot of time together over the last 2 years. I got to know her as a person and saw first hand what these girls go though everyday. Stephanie hated what she had to do but you would not know it. When she went to work you would never know it. She was a very strong person but not strong enough to get out of the grip of the Ave. Stephanie will be missed. I'm talking about the "mongers" I'm talking about the many many friends that knew and loved the true Stephanie. So remember the next time your checking out the stroll they are real people. Drive to see if I could find one of my regulars since I couldn't get a hold of her by phone. Found Sharon who I've seen before so decided to give her a go again. She gave the usual but was very erratic and seems like she is going down hill with the way she was dressed and carried herself. Seems like the streets are getting the best of her so sad.
