I got news for you chief, any photo you send of yourself can likely be matched to your linkedin profile pic, unless you run it thru fawkes (a digital scrambling windows app for pics).

I'm sorry to hear what happened. You have to use alot of common sense with these "women" before sharing details about yourself. I don't have a wife so I really don't care, but fast movers are usually scammers. Buyer beware.

So, today I got caught being incredibly stupid and had to to pay the price (literally) for it.

I signed up for Seeking a few months ago and was having some pretty decent success. I met and played with 4 different babies over the course of about 2 months and I let my success go to my head and I dropped my guard. A few days ago, a girl with the profile name Rita contacted me and said she was interested. Her profile pics were smoking hot. I am 52 y/o and she is 24 y/o, thin, great rack, big pouty DSL lips, she reminded me of Amanda Seyfried. Anyways, she moved to negotiate a price pretty quick. She asked for 450. I countered with 2 and she accepted right away. First warning sign. I asked about rules, she said she had none. Second warning sign. She did all this without asking me ANY details about me. Third warning sign. I asked her to move to text and she readily agreed. So I gave her my Google Voice account and we continued, where she was talking dirty about all the nasty stuff she wanted to do to me and I was eating it up like kid in a candy store. At this point, I am no longer thinking with my big head and she has me wrapped around her finger. So, she sets a M&G for tomorrow at a Starbucks in Midtown and said if it went well we could go back to her place for some fun. Awesome! Or so I thought. At this point, she asked me to send her a recent headshot so she would know what I looked like. And this is where I fucked up royally. Not thinking straight, I dug through my photo album and found a headshot from about 10 years ago and sent it to her. Unfortunately, I had completely forgotten that this was the headshot I used in my LinkedIn profile that I set up 10 years ago and completely forgot about.

A few hours later, she springs her trap. She sends me a screen capture of my LinkedIn profile, my Facebook profile, my wife's Facebook profile, my property address, etc. And tells me if I don't send her $1600 via Cash App she will go public to my wife and all our friends that I like to pay young girls for sex and send them copies of our conversation, screen caps of my Seeking profile, etc. , etc. Apparently, she did a Google image search and found my LinkedIn profile and from there got enough info about me to search Facebook and property records. She has me dead to rights and she knows it. She promises me that if I pay her, she will go away and I will never her from her again.

I'm completely busted and I don't see any way around it. I could risk telling her to fuck off but I looked at all the contact info she has from my LinkedIn profile and Facebook profile and I decided it wasn't worth the risk to see if she was bluffing. So, I told her I would pay her off but I can't do $1600. We settled on $1 K and I sent it her. At this point, I have no choice but to hope that she is an honest thief, but I won't be surprised if she comes back and asks for more, in which case, I will have to tell her NO and just risk dealing with the fall out or the blackmail will never end.

Lesson learned! Don't send ANY photos that you have ever used anywhere else. Don't give out ANY personal information that can be used to track who you are. I know these are probably common sense, but damn, she pushed all the right buttons and, like I said, I let my recent string of successes blind me to this trap.

Needless to say, I deleted my Seeking profile, my LinkedIn profile, and my Facebook profile. I have access to my wife's Facebook page (which she never checks), so I am going to monitor it for a while so I can intercept any incoming DMs, but I just have to hope for the best at this point.

In related news, I think I am probably going to take a break from this hobby for a while.

I have done it when traveling for work, escorts and SBs use it along with LOTS of profiles created as a shill for an OF account. You will have a hard time finding success for free as a single male, but it is possible.

I've never had good luck with fet but also didn't put a tremendous amount of time into it. Might try another go.

An alternative to put on the radar is FEELD. It's like a BDSM tinder. Much smaller pool than Fet, but less bots, etc.

I talked with someone in seeking website and somehow they found all my social media details and tried to blackmail for $1500. At that moment I had decided not to send to her any money thinking if I pay them once the asking for money is not going to end ever. She kept sending me threatening text messages for the 3-4 days or a week don't remember but eventually she (or a he I don't know) gave up. Sorry about what you have dealed brother. But you shouldn't have paid her anything. She will definetly come back to you. Her account will be banned after some days she will run out of money and she will again try to blackmail you. Now a days so many scammers can get pics online and if you sent her money she can have that as a proof to blackmail you more.

If she contacts me again, I simply won't respond. I would have done the same last time except we were right in the middle of discussing if I could bareback her, so she knew I was there. Next time, it will simply look like I shut off that phone number.

Even if this is the right one, the overseas fraudsters run this scam constantly. New profiles will pop up with the same attempts to scam us. We should all be careful about sharing real face pictures with the anonymous person behind a supposed SB profile.

And little do you know you may have sent money to somebody who doesn't even live here. You got played. You sending them money wasn't even more stupid. Never send them money. And if they do reveal your secret, so what? You're a man. Now wise up and keep hobbling after taking this advice.

I'm sure I got played, but this advice is easier said than done when you actually have a lot to lose. 20 years ago, I would told her to fuck off. Today, $1 K is not a huge deal.

Turning it over to the cops isn't much consolation after you've lost your job and your marriage. And even though you paid, there is no guarantee she won't pop up again tomorrow or next month or next year. An honest thief. An oxymoron for sure. It might be better to pay a great hacker to get HER personal information and exact some non-violent revenge.

But I NEVER pay & go by the phrase "the best defense is a great offense. ".

I check her location and joined date. As soon as I found out her location is in Mexico and joined not too long ago, I wanted have little fun with her.

I had some free times, so why not. LOL.

She asked my number due to she doesn't log it often. But I asked her number, even I use texting app, I didn't want to give out that number either.

Got her number in 1 min and text her who I am. So the fun began. LOL.

I asked her about ppm and what she likes and she said 450 ppm and she is very submissive, will do anything I want. Even everything bare. She said she was on BC. She asked me when I'm available, she really wanted meet me right away. I asked her some pics and got few pics from her. Which might be fake.

I knew her location is in Mexico, so I asked her where she from. She told me she was born in San Diego but she is Spanish. Most of her families stays in Barcelona. But her ethnicity was Native American in her profile. She doesn't even remember what she wrote on her profile.

We had some sexting, this one might be a guy. LOL.

Asked her to send me some naked pics but it wasn't free.

About 30 mins of sexting, I lost interest in this fake scammer.

So told her to write down today's date and my name on a paper and take selfie. Then send it to me. She couldn't do it because she / he was fake.

I blocked her from texting app and reported her from seeking.

Don't give her any money. That might cause you to pay her more later.

This is why there has been significant discussion on this site of facial recognition technology, which can definitely be used to track people's real identities down. I have a photo that I have vetted through all of the common sites, even those that charge.

Now, one other point to add to the message I suggested sending earlier, it is that even though you don't know the scammer's real identity, it would be simple for LE to figure out exactly who they are and where they are. Honestly, that is your best play to begin with if this happens to you. If they get their back up, well, you'll have to face the music one way or the other. Like always, criminals are usually lazy and will move on to a nut that is easier to crack. You have to be steadfast.
