You want something sturdy, easy to setup / breakdown, and easy to adjust. Never get a tripod with turnscrews on the main body or individual collapsible legs, they take too long to setup / breakdown.

Also for lighting, get something like a frosted window privacy film to tape around the light. Otherwise, the glare will be too bright and distracting.

So new to the video hobby. Never done it. I know the approach to ask for the menu or ask the MMS if it's offered but coming to see Izumi this week and hopefully Hina and Risa and as many as I can fit into three days.
