For whatever reasons, it's become apparent they have the area targeted for that particular 'activity'.

I'd urge extreme caution as there are many other avenues they can employ to trap you (they do this for a living after all). The OP was lucky they were obviously looking for recorded evidence the 'John' was told she was underage.
