Like "send deposits" anyone should know enough not to. It's a written rule and anyone should always be aware of any posts that state it's ok to send them. NEVER EVER SENT A DEPOSIT IN ADVANCE EVER! Sorry Matty not yelling at you personally. I just used all caps for emphasis. Trust me I know how it feels though. When I first started this hobby 6 years ago I also fell victim to a deposit scam.

Just moving forth just know it's always a scam unless you're dealing with a reputable high end provider ($600-$1000). But even high end providers scam people from time to time. Just do your due diligence for next time.
