I believe the biggest factor in providers inflated prices is the monopoly of several core Pimps / Handlers who oversee quite a few escorts. They have told their working girls to charge Qv 100-120, HH 150 and hr 200. If all the providers set the new higher prices and firmly told to adhere to set prices than true economics and supply / demand are not at work. Some girls do negotiate somewhat and others do not-depends usually if they are independent or have a handler. A guy has few options for lower cost providers if everyone is being told to set prices higher.

I pay generally $60-$80 Qv and $100-$120 hh. Once a provider meets you and yr nice, personable, good hygiene, respectful ect they will usually be more flexible on future dates money wise.

It's just too much of a coincidence post 2021 that prices are set across the board at much higher levels and somewhat consistent girl to girl. I am sure girls charging lower prices get a call, text, or visit from the Big Core Pimps and firmly told to get in line price wise with everyone else.

What do you guys think? Is my scenario laid out a possibility?

If a provider is not being flexible at all, I might says that "yr prices are for drug free girls-for you I would pay only $60 Qv. Or how about hard core druggies staying at dumps like Travel Inn, Bradley Inn, Madison, ect who want $150 hh. Nothing could be further from the truth and what you wrote about me is wrong. Let me try once again. If there's a girl charging a rate that I deem too high, there are a few things that I can do about it that could make a difference. I could try to negotiate or I could see someone else at a rate that I'm more comfortable with. There are girls at all different price points. Coming here and bitching about it accomplishes nothing, as does waxing poetic about the rates from long before I got my first grey hair. When I said that girls don't care what we think when it comes to setting their rates, I meant it and it had nothing to do with my hobbying practices. It's pure economics. They can charge what they want. If people come at the new rate, clearly they made a good choice for them (not us). If people stop coming at the new rate, they can lower their rate or sit in an empty hotel room. Again, none of that has anything to do with what we want.

Except that the volume of legit providers on STG has dropped steadily while high-end options (eros, tryst, agencies) have increased. When your budget is 160/ h you aren't going to notice that shift.

How does inflation affect them? I'll get to that in a moment, but it seems to me that you feel that prices should stay the same forever because that's what you want to pay. I don't know anything that has stagnant prices forever. If prices are too high, we're free to find someone with lower prices. The girls are certainly out there. As Woody said, the market will dictate prices. If a girl raises her prices, she'll either continue to work at the new price or she'll lower it if the demand isn't there.
