You book an appointment with the gal. She directs you to a convenience store supposedly near her incall and asks you to contact her when you get there. When you contact her, she will ask you to buy a gift card in the amount of the agreed upon fee since she doesn't deal in cash. She'll give you one of many made up reasons for this.

So you buy the card, and then she'll ask for the code so that she can "verify" that it's authentic. You do so and then she gives you the supposed address of her incall location with the instructions to call her when you arrive. When you arrive, you call but never get a response.

In the meantime she's gone online and used the gift card. There's no way you can trace who used it. You have now been scammed and screwed (although not in the way you had hoped for).

About 6 to 8 years ago, there seemed to be a shift in our hobby, likely to the government takedown of some of the online sites making internet hobbying a little bit more difficult, there were a bunch of places that were doing the scam. I knew about the scam, but wanted to check out the scene at the same time. So this is how I played it out.

Contact: Hi I saw your ad and wanted to hook up.

Response: I'm over in LosAngeles at this intersection. Let me know when you're there.

Drive over: Hi I'm here, which house are you at?

Response: Hi baby, head into the 7 Eleven and buy me a Google pass. The $25 one so I know you're serious.

Me: (Not at all falling for this stupid shit and didn't go into 7 Eleven). Ok, I bought it, now what?

Response: Send me a photo of it so I know you're serious.

Me: I'm serious that I'm sitting here at the corner. Why don't you come out and I'll give it to you when we meet up?

This is more of a response to BonerA's post (which I guess got deleted) than Atrr1's. Yes the boycott does / is working and should be sustained beyond the end of next week. Not trying to convince doubters but I believed the boycotters have a chance if they can sustain their effort. I am just going to say this once.
