First off, your butt buddy Trump exempted all the gene therapy makers from liability - https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/...2020-05484.pdf, so there will be no zillion dollar lawsuit, there will not even be a single small claims lawsuit.

Second, the polio vaccine and small pox vaccine are quite different from the gene therapy shot.

The current polio vaccine, an IPV (inactive version of the virus, not just a spike protein) provides sterilizing immunity after four doses (maybe even after three), meaning the pathogen called polio is stopped cold.

This is not the case for corona, in fact, it appears (unlike everything else that is factual here, this is a supposition of mine from the level of spread now) that vaccinated individuals shed more virus because they do not get as sick as fast when they get the virus. The delta variant has a higher viral load and so now the vaccinated should probably be made to take prophylaxis cures to counteract that load (again, my supposition as to what might be needed).

Also, the polio and small pox vaccines, like the chicken pox vaccine, were developed over decades. Your fanboy trump pushed through this one to save his presidency.

Finally, corona is fatal or leads to serious disability in statistically zero cases for non-fat people. Lose the weight and corona is nothing near polio or small pox.

I go the first shot as it seems to provide about five months of immunity, which will carry me through the winter if I opt to take #2.

Vaccine manufacturers have 100% legal immunity (no pun intended) against liability for vaccine injuries, granted to them by HR. 5546 - The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, passed during the Regan Administration. See subtitle 2, part B:

Also, you cannot compare COVID vaccines to polio vaccines. They literally use completely different techologies and achive a completely different biological end. The polio vaccine, and all other traditional vaccines are called attenuated virus vaccines. They are well-studied, and very well-understood. They make you fully immune to a given disease. Pfizer and Moderna and mRNA vaccines encoded to express and produce the sars-cov-2 spike proteins in the body, so that if the virus invades your body, the body recognizes its spike protein as a previously encountered antigen. J&J achieves the same end through a different means: a viral vector. None of the COVID vaccines claim to make you immune to Covid. They only claim to lessen the severity of symptoms if you become infected. Their mechanisms have never been tested on human for long term effects. We are literally the test subjects under emergency authorization. This is all objective fact.

These "one size fits all" health mandates are draconian and divisive, in my view. They make no sense. That being said, I don't care at all what other people choose to do with their body, and I don't feel that it's my right to go telling them how to handle their own personal health, or even to ask them what their vaccination status is.

You need to play with it, but select 0-24 and 25-44 for California. Excess deaths for 2020 among the young were at a clip of 11% (up to 24) and 39% (up to 45). We know what happened in 2020. Lots of covid deaths.

But then in 2021, covid slowed down and we were able to reopen, etc. So then why did young cohorts die at a clip of 15% (up to 24) and 63% (up to 45) in 2021.
