+1. I don't agree with petite just meaning short. That's just short.

It's like people who co-opted the word "curvy" when they're just obese / fat. Petite is short, small, and thin.

Seconding this. To me, part of "petite" is being skinny / thin / toned / flat tummy, not JUST being short. If there's any extra "cushion" she's not petite in my book (though I accept that others may have a different definition).
