My best advice is to not give any. I will tell you what works for me.

First, if they are open to a call, Call. A call is usually better. So what to do or say on a call?

First. Treat them like they are a friend or a friend of a friend. Say hello. My name is. I saw your add and I was wondering if you are available soon. (now is best) or at (specific time).

Second. If they sound unfriendly, or impaired or if ANY aspect of the call is off, You need to disengage. Do it with respect. Say something like, "I am sorry this is not going to work. I will you all the best. Goodbye. ".

NEVER, discuss the service or the cost. If they ask what you want, tell them something like " we can work that out when we are together". If they ask if a specific price is ok, you need to respond, but do not actually agree. You might say, that sounds reasonable.
