My experience is consistent with Ripper's. They always accept cash. Most hotels, however, will put a hold on your card for incidentals. This is always removed without a trace, but may take up to five days to do it. If your SO looks at your account while the hold is still on, you might have some 'splaining to do. I just changed my password so my wife can't access the card online.

Most hotels will let you use a prepaid credit card for the incidentals, or at least most that I've been to, and I travel quite a bit. However, if it is important, you probably want to check on that beforehand . I usually use a $200 prepaid mastercard, but can get them for up to $500. Some of the hotels don't even look at the card, and you just swipe it yourself through their card reader. Some don't even ask for a card at all if the reservation is already paid for through Hotels.com.

Also to add to what Ripvan has said, you can buy Hotels.com gift cards at Walmart, so that is what I always use. That way, no credit card is involved for booking the reservation. This is arguably better than using Amazon to get the hotels.com egift cards, although you could always a physical gift card shipped to Amazon locker near you if you want anonymity there. I have had issues with egift cards through Amazon, so I try to avoid those for the most part.

Again, i don't want to use credit card for the Amazon orders, so I use Amazon gift card and if you use that to buy a few egift cards, they will sometimes shut down your acct and steal your existing gift card balance. This has happened to me multiple times, so better to just buy at Walmart.

And I usually slightly misspell my last name on the Hotels.com reservation. Ripvan's advice about changing the first name is good and I don't usually do that, but it is smart.

I recently started using local Air BnB. I have a spot off of Candler road, that I have used 3 times. The guy knows what's up when I book with him, and he leaves the key where I can get it (Usually around 60-100, depends on the day I book it). I'm looking to line up spots on the Westside, North and South of the city to make them my weekly or monthly regular spots through Air BnB. I have a low profile CC ($500 limit, that I keep discreet with online only statements) that I use to pay for the rooms. So far so good.

The thing that would highly concern me using an Air BnB would be the off chance that the guy or lady renting the room out was secretly recording the whole deed. Could be some whack job with hidden cameras everywhere watching live or for later (blackmail? Prob just paranoid but if it can happen in a hotel room (Erin Andrews-ESPN Marriott), it can def happen in someone's house. An on line search of hidden recording devices will bring up a mind boggling variety of various devices that look like everything from normal clock radios to fake flowers. About six months ago, there was a guy in South Carolina arrested for doing that very thing at a Air BnB he rented out. Think he was in his late 50's. Air BnB said they were looking into it as was the local Five O. So while saving on $, be sure to check for bugs. And not those found in shitty hotel / motel beds. The apartment isn't a bad idea. My brother and I went halfsies on a studio apt near Buckhead and it was under $1 k / month. It worked out better for him than it did for me but was a good idea, in theory, nonetheless.

Pretty much the mid-range hotels (never motels), DoubleTree and the like.

I've used Priceline and related sites to score heavily discounted rooms at some swanky Buckhead hotels (like the St. Regis), but that's less reliable than just a solid mid-range hotel. You could probably get a good deal on an AirBnB as well.

The best thing to do with a hotel room is just use it: have a few fuck sessions while you have the room. I used to fuck a KSU dance student at a Hampton Inn near the school, so I'd get a room, fuck for an hour or two, and then we'd meet again later in the evening, and if possible in the morning before I checked the room out. I'd put out 5-6 loads, so it was an okay value.

Even better of course is a varied menu; I did once see how many different girls I could do in a day (since I had the room for the first girl), and I think I did four (back to back, not all at once). Fun times.

I actually looked into renting an apartment (figuring it would be worth it) about a year ago, The Alexan in Old Fourth Ward by the Beltline, and it was crazy how expensive it was (like $3000/ month). I haven't lived in an apartment in a couple of decades and wow, did prices ever creep up! If you could find a nice apartment for $1000 or less, probably worth it for an active SD. Maybe that's doable in the burbs?

I used dayuse today in order to smash and then donate to a SBs "college" fund. Check-in was painless. They required a credit card for incidentals though. But when I checked out I told them I wanted to settle the bill in cash and they happily accepted. No trace of the incidental hold on my credit card when I checked online a few minutes ago.

I still recommend my hotels.com strategy for complete anonymity. You can check my old posts for full details on that strategy which allows you to book under your monger name. Ripper.

OK, I'm not local so this may have limited usefulness for you, but posting because it might help someone. I use Dayuse.com to book hotels in the daytime a lot. I usually can only play in the daytime, and it can be hard to check-in to a hotel at, say, 1:00. Aside from guaranteed availability in the daytime, Dayuse has a couple other advantages. You don't need to use a credit card to make a reservation, and you can cancel up to the very last minute, or after. So I always make a reservation if I am doing a M&G for lunch or coffee. I can cancel without penalty if we don't go to FC, but it's surprising how many do go! The other advantage of Dayuse is you get a little better class of hotel. In may area, they are mostly Hilton affiliates or nice boutique hotels. SB's love it.

Closest offering to Richmond I see on Dayuse site is Fredericksburg, but there are a whole lot in DC, for those who get up there to play.

I can totally understand your thinking Hal, but I think you are overlooking the big picture. These chics receive hundreds of messages. I've had a few show me their inbox, and its insane. There is a reason you never here back from so many chics is they can't keep up with it all. Thats why I always try to have unique opening lines, and try and get them to SMS or other messaging services as fast as possible.

I've had success using Booking.com and recently Dayuse. Generally I can only play by day. So I typically book a mid level chain (Country Inn, HI Express, Wingate) thru booking.com with cancellation up to 4 PM that same day. When I book, I show expected check in as 10-noon. At checkin (next or even same day), they look at me kinda funny, remind me that checkin is really later, but usually find me a room. I've had a few times where they stick to it, and then I just cancel at no charge.

I was smashing a regular married Latina MILF near ptree city 3-4 times a month and they got to know me there. Even when they were "full", they always found me a room!

Recently tried Dayuse.com and it was fabulous. They have about a dozen properties around the city. Some upscale properties around the airport and Buckhead. I tried a nice property near 285/85.
